But for Bal en Blanc, there was no real limit on the number of vip tickets sold, even if it was advertized as being "extremely limited, aka max 1000". pure bullshit.

Anyway, I got VIPs for Bal, and they were definitely worth it...had a great time, and didn't have to wait 2 hours outside in the cold...some friends did, and not only did they waste 2 hours and only got in at around 3, but they had frosbite...and this was in April...so yeah, I'll get VIPs for this one also, but fuck, c'est quand meme pas mal cher, sauf si ils nous offrent des lap dance dans le VIP lounge

i meant celebration.

The organizers at bal en blanc got lucky with their scam because people stayed on the dance floor and didn't venture in the vip areas... or else it would've been crammed.

Yeah that was me. I don't get VIP tickets to sit and "chill" in the VIP lounge. I only get it to avoid line-ups both at the door and for the bathrooms...I hate waiting, so it works out for me well...Besides, people in the VIP lounge kill me...no one dances, everyone is staring each other down, blablabla...

Dude, there are NO line ups in the Bell Center for bathrooms. Unless you're a girl, or a guy going to a stall to do something else than go to the bathroom...

For the Bell Center, I agree...I didn't have many problems. But for the Bal, non-VIP bathrooms were terrible. I was giving my bracelet to my friends constantly so they didn't have to wait 30 minutes, although granted, those line-ups were for girl's bathrooms

Quick question: Is there going to be a TA meet-up anywhere for this one? I was checking out some other threads, and people were already doing meet-ups for events in March (WMC), so although I think it's still a bit early to talk about this, I feel we're being outdone by other forums ...so let's get our act together and besides, good planning never hurt anyone.

So, who's coming to this one, and who proposes what?

as for this, i think a pre-meetup is a great idea... getting together in the bell center may be difficult?? and i'd certainly love to shoot the shit with some TAs in a more relaxed setting before the craziness of the night begins

Ok, let's say we all meet up at a bar (somewhere on Crescent?). What time would we go to Celebration? If you want to get inside before 12, you'll have to get in line at 10:30, latest. And it is cold outside

But some complications may occur. From my experience, whenever we go as a big group, some shit always happens. People get stuck at coat check or at the search or have to go to the bathroom, etc. Then we end up losing a bunch of people

If we could get a schematic of the Bell Center, and make section 118E, for example, the TA meetup/chill-out point, that would be cool.

At some raves, I've seen people with bigass balloons 15 feet in the air, tied down to a water bottle or something. These balloons would let people know where their crew was.....maybe an idea for TA??

Alright, so here's the layout for the Bell Center Bell Center layout

I don't know what their plan is for the Celebration layout, so I'll go based on what I remember at Cream. If I'm not mistaken, the DJ booth was at 107, and the VIP elevated section was around 101. We hung out a lot around 122 back at Cream, which was not a good idea since that's one of the entrances and people kept coming in and out. 118 or 119 sounds alright, although there was surprisingly a lot of room around 109 and 110, and we spent our last 4 hours (from 8:00 till noon) in that area, which was the best part of the night.

As for the balloon idea, I don't know man, sounds a bit gayish to me I'd much prefer to decide on one or two locations, have a plan A, plan B type of thing in case one area gets too packed, and exchange cell phone numbers.

As for getting stuck in the line-up, freezing outside, coat check and all that other hastle, it's called VIP tickets

Sounds like a sound plan right there.
But I have noticed that the booth changes sides every 514 Bell Center event.

I'm going to Apocalypse, but I'm down for a TA meetup and pre-drinking earlier on in the evening. Kate & I live 2 blocks from Crescent, so perhaps we could host a little soir�e.

Myself (Gavin), and nchs09 (Mario), will be coming in from atlanta on december 30, and staying til the night of january 2. We'll be at the Hotel Quartier Latin Montreal, at 1763 St. Denis street

Like we've said before, we are definitely down for any sort of TA meetup The idea about meeting up inside celebration is great, and we should certainly still do this for anyone that can't meet up before hand, but I really like the idea of chilling somewhere outside of the venue before hand as well

And does anyone else have any more infos on events on saturday the 1st? I think we're planning on doing the barhop on the 30th, but are still looking for stuff to do on the 1st... let us know montreal peeps!

maybe we could also have a larger TA meetup at some point? because i know there will be a lot of us in town for this weekend, but not everyone will be going to celebration.. .ideas??


i have a feeling now, though, that however this works out, it's going to be one crazy ass weekend
