haha, I feel bad when I turn down a girl. It seems to happen every time I am at this one club too, I wonder if its the same girl. One used the lighter line, I just said no and continued dancing.

also you can go out with a bunch of your friends, but they need to help. Whereas guys have a single wingman when going in, girls can use battalians to go in. get like 6 girls (including you the instigator) to whisk him away from whatever he is doing and shower him with attention. Oh and all this should be preceeded with eye contact. eye contact is huge, if I see a girl trying to make eye contact and I am not interested I will look away. so it is a clue to move on without a lotta embarassment.

other than that use the ol technique of buying a drink, and starting a convo. a convo with open ended questions not yes/no ones.

if all else fails, move to vegas.

He doesn't have to justify himself to you.

It wasn't intended as an insult. I just found it funny a guy who's a self proclaimed virgin and someone who i think has never had a steady gf is giving pick-up advice. While you think being a virgin is an insult he doesn't he's actually proud of it (which is fine with me). who's insulting who? You're right on one count that most act like 12 yr olds, but any idiot who's hung out here for more than a week would know that.

You have to beat the girls back with a stick? What cologne do you wear? I want some.

As far as I know, I've only ever had 1 girl ask me out before. I really wasn't interested in her, despite the fact that many of my friends urged me to be interested in her, so I just evaded her at every turn. I was in High School at the time, and the only way I escaped was by graduating.

I don't feel too great about it, because that was probably the only chance I'll ever have at a girl who would ask me out, but oh well - hindsight's 20/20.

Anyone ever notice how, when engaging with women, they can laugh at your jokes and, at the height of their fake little giggles, they'll reach out to your body and stroke the parts that they're interested in? HOW DO THEY GET AWAY WITH IT?! I mean - you'll say something funny, they'll laugh, and all the while, they just reached out and touched your arm or your chest! If GUYS were to pull that sort of thing, many of us would be looking at the back of the Officer's car more often than not!

It's a strange game....

To be honest if a girl chats me up I'm usually so surprised it's happened I just stand there slack jawed, nod politely and wait for her to run away.

This is true.

I dont smoke a lot but always try to have a Ligthter in my pocket just in case a girl ask me for a light.

And it works, if she starts a nice interesting conversation, she got me.

*dunce cap for the dumbass*

Keep up the good work, once again you stick your nose in other peoples business and end up lookin like an ass.

Orbax is a virgin, he has said it many times.

notice I used the singular form of girl there.....

and the cologne I wear is called desperation.

Posted by NiteMer on Oct-29-2004 18:32:

Another hot polish girl? Are all polish girls hot, or is it just me? You should be able to get this guy easily. Just ask him. He's probably intimidated by you and shy. Get him drunk and make a move.

IGottaKnow - Did I ever ask you where in CT you're from. I am curious, cause I grew up in Greenwich til I was 12.

Posted by Gholy Host on Oct-29-2004 19:26:

-Only read through half the thread so far. Not much new stuff to offer, only 2 things.

1. Got a light isn't always the best line. 50% was a good percentage for when this will work, because some guys don't like smokers.

2. Approaching the guy may work, but again it may not. We seem to have an abundance of guys here who don't mind being approached, but some of those old school guys want to feel that they're the hunters. You going up to them could be a real turnoff. Depending on the guy, might just want to make yourself available. Keep looking his way. Because as several people have already noted, guys are really good at not noticing the subtle hints.

My dad was rich. Not anymore. I moved to Colorado with my mom when I was twelve. I wasn't a big fan of Greenwich, but it's beautiful out there.

Yeah, Colorado kicks ass! It's beautiful here too, but different. Greenwich is a nice commute to the city, but it's so damn stuck up. I'm not into that.

I did the "got a light?" and hooked up with someone with a girlfriend... ooops... oh well he was hot and it was HIS fault he cheated.

Other things that worked were:
- making fun of a stupid person near me
- "hey, this song is awesome right"
- being tipsy and thus just smiling and laughing with everybody
- "I like your shirt"

It's really too easy

i dont know!!!!!!!!!
i'm so lost and so confused SAVE ME!!!!!

plzzzz just a little... and i wont bug again

i am too lazy to read all the answers, but i can give you some advises :

1st : it depends if you are really beautiful or simply pretty

If you are really really beautiful, then just be very smiling and enthousiastic with him (easy to say i know ) then the guy will do the rest believe me, because it is very very often the guy who make the job (beautiful girls are lazy and they are right cause they just have to wait. If one day all the guys of the world decided to wait, then you girls would have to do the job).

If you are pretty but can go unnoticed, then you have to be smileing too and to be patient. Personnally i really love smiling and enthousiastic girls, so that's my point of vue, but if you want the boy fall in love, you have to highlight your human qualities, not only your physic, then you could see if the guy is interested or not.

Whatever the situation, you easily see if a boy is interested or not. Guys don't know hidding this (i know hidding but i mean a lot of guy don't really know hidding it) , girls are reallly better for that.

if this is the actual person and not a joke (which it might be hehe) Im not too worried about what Igottaknow thinks about me. Just because someone hasnt stuck their dick in a wet hole doesnt mean they dont know how to be around women, or how to get women. Im comfortable around them and for the most part, women like me. I just have to find one that meets *my* standards.

So keep on railin though, im sure youve gotten your eff on with some real fuckin losers before and learned a lot

Posted by Gunyouken on Oct-29-2004 23:19:

The problem is that girls try to be subtle, and guys for some reason (THis means me) do not pick up those subtleties.

I think also girls don't handle rejection as well as men do, but they sure as hell know how to dish it out.

Men don't generally trust girls that try to pick them up...on second thought they don't trust the ones that don't try to pick them up either, but this has no bearing at all on woman picking up men , what the hell is trust anyway but a lame excuse to get someone to watch your dog while you are on holiday.

sorry walker i just don't think being a half crazed mountain man makes you qualifed to give pick up advice... errr you give him a charlie horse... hmmm she's not asking how you interact with ur buds. But hell I'm not trying to prevent you from speaking ur mind i just think its pretty funny. btw who's that sexy stud?

yes if you are a girl, don't be too direct, be more subtle, it will be better to picky shy boys up.
