Johnny, again, black holes are theoretical constructs. I won't bore you with the math, but essentially, the fact that time stops is a result of taking the limit of Einstein's theory of special relativity at tiny little distances. Einstein's theory basically predicts that time, as well as space, is destroyed at the center of the singularity (black hole), but I agree, no one knows why or how and physicists are actively working on a new set of laws that describe the center of the singularity.

Having said that, I believe we have discovered 12 holes in the Milky way already, and I'm sure we'll find more. The point being that we're rather sure that these "things" exist, as opposed to something like unicorns.

never said black holes never existed,not only do i have one, but im very aware of the millions there must be in space. But the Time stopping,i find interesting.I understand the concept,but imagining "nothing",just plain nothing,the no existence of time which means nothing exist is a concept very complex that i can accept,but possibly cant imagine,so something i cant imagine for me is impossible,a hole in the universe leading to nothing,basically all physical plan x,y,z and the time plan are banned cause there is literally nothing,but i mentionned that because physically,its impossible to prove this,so for me its still hypothetic,not the black holes,but time stoppage.

Fair enough. And I agree that time and space being compressed to 0 is rather hard to imagine, although black holes are exactly like the singularity that banged at the big bang, and the fact that time and space "didn't exist" before is fairly well accepted, although I know there are a number of dissenting views. Anyway, here's to everyone's black hole
