Yeah I can't hide the fact I feel bad for being in Ohio right now.

Yet we lost 270 000 jobs under Bush! Wtf how can people vote for that cracker?

One thing that I guess still makes me feel good is I tried my best.
The county ( Cuyahoga/Cleveland ) where I live I was involved in various political things and our county went to Kerry by a large margin.

I may call my parents later today and tell them I'll be arriving in a couple weeks back in France and they'll need to pick me up at the airport and get a room ready in their apartment for little johnny boy.

The United States just showed the world that it is comprised of many uneducated, selfish, and irresponsible people.

Prior to this election, most of the world liked the American people but disliked the American administration.

Now, I'd say American people have simply shown their true colors.

What does it matter? It should matter. The fact that it doesn't to many people is in and of itself a little disconcerning. But really, if it doesn't matter to you, it shouldn't matter to any of us.

Very true.

I'm not so sure about the Middle East caring about the president, though. They despise the US because it sides with Israel... So they don't really care about who's in office.

I heard bunch of folks up in SF were buying up places in Canada - to move there, in case Bush wins again. I don't blame them.

don't let my avatar fool you though... I'm a Kerry supporter and for the last 2 nights have had the dumbest dreams - dreaming that I'd wake up and know that Kerry won by a large margin. Not that I'm democrat per se but I just want change of leadership. My beef is not as much with bush - he's just a funny monkey, but with his close pals Dick, John, and Donald. Colin is actually cool in my book.

But what a funny team: Dick and Bush...

I think the key reason why Kerry lost was his support of same sex marriage. That tells you the sorrid state of things in US. Imagine this voter: "Hey, I hate war in Iraq, my president is an incoherent babbling idiot, my Veep is a war-mongering embezler, the secretary of defense straight out of SS training camp - but Kerry! Kerry, he supports them ******s and dykes! There's no way I'll elect him! This will mean I'll have to explain to Billie Ray why 'Adam and Steve' is not OK. I'm votin' for Bush!"

Fuck homophobs, fuck religious nutcases, fuck conservatives, fuck Bush! Whatever.. we're all fucked... democrat or republican.

because most bush supporters were voting cuz "hes from mah state" or "hes from teh state next to mah state"

or things like moral values and "i like him"

people don't look at the facts, they don't look at the numbers.

"Support" and "actually doing something about it" are two totally different things. What's funny is that most of the Democrats that won Senate who also "supported" same sex marriage, last night, have already stated that they're anti-gay marriage.

The gay folks lost either way.

Kerry actually didn't support same sex marriage. The occurrence of the Ban against Gay Marriage on ballots in many of the swing states, however, did hurt Kerry.

It would've been so sweet if the dems carried Ohio and Bush lost the electoral vote whilst winning the popular vote by over 3 million.

Ahhh well.

Its about damn time that the world figured it out too. There are a shitload of problems with the world that the American people are causing, not all this shit is the government's fault. If the people were really interested in changing things for the better they could at least start with their own lives but they aren't doing shit.

Foreign TA's feel free to hate us, we fucking deserve it.

i think a lot of people hate bush because he is not as well spoken as they are, and he's president.....and they are probably unhappy with their occupation and/or financial situation, which breeds resentment and hatred...

Posted by Yan on Nov-03-2004 17:30:

Anyone care to help me with a rebuttal to this statement:

quote:
Oh **** you. Get your ******* facts straight. Kerry didn't flip-flop, you ******* moron. Read the congressional records before spewing rhetoric.

On the Senate floor on October 9th, 2002, Kerry said:

"As the President made clear earlier this week, Approving this resolution does not mean that military action is imminent or unavoidable. It means that America speaks with one voice. Let me be clear, the vote I will give to the President is for one reason and one reason only: To disarm Iraq of weapons of mass destruction, if we cannot accomplish that objective through new, tough weapons inspections in joint concert with our allies.

In giving the President this authority, I expect him to fulfill the commitments he has made to the American people in recent days--to work with the United Nations Security Council to adopt a new resolution setting out tough and immediate inspection requirements, and to act with our allies at our side if we have to disarm Saddam Hussein by force. If he fails to do so, I will be among the first to speak out. If we do wind up going to war with Iraq, it is imperative that we do so with others in the international community..."

Golly gosh, he was against the war in 2002! Right after 9/11! He didn't flop-flop!

EDUCATE YOUR ******* SELF.

Funny that this girl decided to post this to me when I didn't even mention any specific of Kerry's flip-flops.

How does having less respect for someone less intelligent than you qualify as resentment? That's pretty much how the world works in general.

You never answered my question before - are you even old enough to vote?

I could care less - if people were less sexually opressed, perhaps this country wouldn't be as fuqed. Many of those redneck homophobes are closet cases - they should be allowed to copulate freely with the same sex and we'd see less war, less inbreeding, a cleaner gene pool. Let them buff their way out of the gene pool, instead of telling who can marry whom. Or they are just afraid that their precious little aspiring KKK recruit will become too enfatuated with Uncle Larry's johnson and decide not to knock up his sister Marry Beth, therby ending the long-standing tradition and legacy????
what kind of country needs rules governing whom you can or cannot marry? why not pass some laws that Blacks shouldn't marry Whites or them Kikes should not be marrying our pristine Catholics? Or elves should not be marrying the halflings? Shit like that...

conservatives are closet cases and America is still ruled by puritans, many hundreds of years after it was founded by those sexually opressed rejects from the rest of the world.

today, I'm ashamed to be an American.

i'm 23.

and it seems like you make yourself feel good by reminding yourself that you're more intelligent than the general population, and if they could only be as smart as you, everyone would be a lot better off.

wisdom > intelligence
