i had a great time last night.. i thought edgar had a strong opener as always(didnt blow my socks off tho). i really enjoyed pvd's set, he played alot of great tracks, defintely my fave pvd set thus far, played some nice classics, nothing but you was great(someone ID the song after it, that track was KILLA), some great new ones too, alittle hard for my taste at times, but a strong set and nice track selection, kept me dancin...i will defintely pay good money to see him again, he is a solid performer... but the night belonged to edgar v afterhours, defintely one of the best sets ive heard this year(better than magik musik nite is a bit of a strech tho).. he played so many dope tracks, bangin track after bangin track, im going to try to ID this one track where he blew the horn twice in the same track, it was CO RAY ZEE... i hope the space residents were taking notes, because a superstar was born last nite, this was edgar's hallmark performance, a type of performance that defines a DJ, IT WAS THAT GOOD... the main room was still rockin when we left at 7.30, and I left unwillingly, but had drama on the homefront to tend to... anyways, i for one will be a regular at nocturnal if that kinda of SICKNESS edgar plans to bring to the afterhour's scene, because i left EDGAR V--ILLIFIED.. hats off to you Mr V, you have CONCRETED a loyal fan, you ROCK..
nice seeing such a strong TA turnout, i had fun with you all, till next time, neil..

I'll give the first two PvD hours a shot. This is just a rough order of tracks that I remember. There are IDs all over the place.

Marcos - Cosmic String (Marc van Linden Remix)
Marc van Linden - LH3293
Matys & Marc van Linden - AM 2 PM
Paul van Dyk feat Vega 4 - Time Of Our Lives (UK Club Mix)
Kyau vs Albert - Made of Sun (KvA Hard Dub)
Reeloop - Kamistad (Johan Gielen Remix)
Katana - Fancy Fair 2005
IDs (Other techy hard stuff here)
Oscar G & Ralph Falcon - Dark Beat (Southside' Feel It Deep Mix)
ID (Techy track with a sample similar to Put Out The Lights)
ID (Almost a hardstyle track, blech)
Mojado - El Toro
Paul van Dyk - For An Angel (Marc van Linden Remix)
Matys & Marc van Linden - AM 2 PM
Marcos - But For A Day (Original or Marc van Linden Remix?)
Paul van Dyk - Connected (Moto 05 Mix)
Josh Gabriel - Alive (PvD Edit)
ID (Techy track with cool low-range synth, vaguely PvDish in production quality.)
ID (Weird off-key track)
ID (Another weird off-key track)
Paul van Dyk feat. Hemstock & Jennings - Nothing But You (Original Mix)

I'm a huge PvD fan.
That doesn't mean I say a set is mindblowing when it's less than I am used to hearing from him. I'm just being honest.

i agree(i just think he evolved a step further from a star to a superstar, thats all), but he needed a superlative, flawless set, like the one he delivered last nite, to kind of cement the fact that he is THE REAL DEAL...sets like that are rare and are what defines a great dj, separates the good from the great, he achieved that modicum of success last nite... he blew my socks off...

Was the Dark Beat remix in PvD's first set Edgar V's remix? Or did Edgar play that during the 21+ show in his set?

PvD plays 'Southsides feel it deep mix' & edgar v is 'part' of southside.

cheers for attempting a half decent tracklist at least, all the rest of these reviews are fucking useless.

Posted by Bling on Nov-26-2004 03:25:

i was sober dammit

all i had was one spacefuel and a vodka tonic

I remember another one, Katana - Fancy Fair 2005 about a third of the way into that set.

Posted by Bling on Nov-26-2004 03:31:

i need this explaining (as it isnt very clear from these reviews at all) - both djs played x2 sets? one for like a pre show and the other the main show?

so when everyone says 'omfg pvd was amazing' or 'omfg pvd suxx0r' are they talking overall or only about one particular performance?

cant believe he played so many mvl tracks i mean, i like mvl recent work, but i am going to see him play WITH mvl tomorow night & i dont fancy hearing cosmic string 6 times between the two of them

Posted by Zewad on Nov-26-2004 03:37:

did you say fancy?

From like 6pm - 12am was an all ages show. [pvd playing from 10-12]
then they kicked everyone out and at 12am - god knows when, was the 21+ crowd. edgar 12-2 pvd 2-5 and edgar 5-8am which is the time i left and he was still on
