i wrote that in response to a complaint about outdoor smoking with no tarp.

well, never meant to offend but i think the whole scence has gone soul-less. if everyone's not fronting, then everyone's too much in their own head. some are genuine, but lots skim the surface of things and never quite hitting the peaks. mostly it's numb and loveless.

yeah, oakenfold is great. but if i were given $30K for a two hour set i could practice all year for it and kick ass. great selection of records that did move me.

mark o has done some great stuff, true, and kudos to him for banging it in long hour sets.

my opinion on o-town types still holds.

Ya, and once again, you are twisting the truth to match your own agenda. There are no laws against having an overhang tarp, and you know it. (or at least it has been pointed out enough times on here you should have clued in by now). You can't turn an outside area into an enclosed space. Period. To date, the only venue that has been questioned (note, nothing has come of it, they were just questioned by the bylaw officers) had glassed in walls and a roof.

We get that you don't like the non-smoking ban. Every time you rant, you are outnumbered by about 20:1 of us TAs who like being able to breathe in clubs - and the vast majority of the city of Toronto support the bylaw. So, accept it, and talk trance.

I liked how they had the name of the dj who was playing at the current time up there in case people couldn't see the dj in the booth or whatver

It was very easy to tell who was a TA and who wasn't because the TA's were giving on the spot reviews during and after every song
