We are so smart, technologically advanced, and university educated, but we still repeat the cycle of violence and hatred that has plauged us for millions of years. The only thing that changes is our weapons and means of violence, which have become bigger and stronger. The same stupid behaviour still stays the same. In 100 years, the missle system will be obsolete, but we still be fighting each other with newer weapons, so what is the point?

Why would Canada not want this? To put it in persepectvive,
lets say there is a missile coming towards the us by way of Canadian air space, if the US doesn not have their defensive equipement in north Canada, they would have to launch their missiles over south Canada from the north US which reduces the reaction time.

Lets face it, the US will attack any missile to ensure it doesnt hit their soil. Im sure they dont care if its over our cities if we dont support it. We'll do it to ourselves. I'd much rather this explosion to happen in the inhabited north.

I have to agree, I know the inter-workings of the political and corporate America structure.

Believe me when I tell you, they work in unison to accomplish common goals.

EG. there are certain Elite Media moguls who own entire congolomerates of telecommunications - radio, newspaper, and late night news, who are heavily influenced by US politics, and vice versa.

Most of America's "general" populace does not even know what goes on behind the scenes, because they have been thrown in a hypnotized state from day one of their lives.

As much as I dislike America, i am in awe of the sophistication of their vast information and modern day, clandestine propoganda tactics.

It is so easy to escape America's Elite hold on the general population:
- Read, don't watch TV
- Read material from sources all over the world
- When you read a newspaper or watch late news, always keep a filter active in the information you take it, don't just become a catatonic zombie

Slightly off topic but relevant...I always wondered if instead of a missile shooting down another missile if "lasers" would be developed instead...Well I ran across this article and it was written in 1986

So who knows what the military is up to for weapons development
