Dont guess you guys would be able to make it to my set at Eternal the next night. If not its no worries but I think you both were present for Kimball at 2401 back in august so you know how I do. Where's GBM been at? Haven't seen him or you around here too much..

I hope they drop Evanescence - Hello (Trifactor vs G&D Mix) and G&D - Arcadia and Josh Gabriel - Alive! Tonight is gonna go off see you guys there. I should be at the club around 11 since I got a little buisiness to take care of before hand.

EDIT: I'll be there around 10 since I noticed on Groovetickets website that G&D are supposed to go on from 11 - close.

As much as I would like to I won't be able. I've got some work stuff to take care of the next day. You'll have to record/write down your set though so I can download it. Yeah he's been working alot and I haven't really made it down to H town lately. Works been crazy....and so have the women....literally. I've been lurking the boards alot but haven't gotten too involved. I'm going to try and build by dj stand this weekend so that when my Rane SSL and Alesis monitors get here next week I'll be all good. I'll keep an eye out for you tonight!

damn..I nearly read this wrong. We use an SSL at school but its one of those 32 channel engineer consoles. (look up the SSL 4048) If that mixer is both a Rane and an SSL it should really have some damn good sound.

My, bad... Rane Serato Scratch Live. No my Vestax 275 is working just fine for what I'm capable of.

Overall It was a great night. I like the new way G&D are mixing at gigs not to mention that the mixing itself was spot on. Crowd and vibe was good. It was great to see Santos and Emerson again. Nice meeting Jbooty, Matthias, and TMFT. You guys are all awesome.

Tracks they played not mentioned yet:
Way Out West - Mindcircus (G&D Remix)
Motorcycle - Around You (Before We Fade Away) (Love the breakdown and buildup of this track)
Nikola Gala - Swing to Harmony (??? Remix)
Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun (G&D Remix)
Rachael Starr - Till There Was You (G&D 12 Step Mix)
Jewel - Intuition (G&D Lo Tek Dub)
Andain - Beautiful Things (G&D Unplugged Mix)
Starkid - Crayons (Leama and Moor's In Memory of Starkid Remix)

They played a bunch of other tracks that I couldnt ID. I had a blast hope to do it again soon.

Did they remix it if so I havent heard it. I havent even bothered listening to any of the remixes since the original owns them all.

Posted by DeviantxPete on Jan-22-2005 22:04:

Indeed they have made a remix.

yes. Josh said it may be released on Ministry of Sound..didnt say when.

Wish all you guys coulda came to Eternal afterward. Dave and Josh actually showed up and played an afterhours set from 4-5am. THere was only 20 of us present, but they were still havin a good time and played alot of unknown tracks that weren't played at Sky. Replayed the remix of Nikola Gala - Swing to Harmony.

Those of you going to Eternal tonight, look forward to seeing you all there.

Makes sense if it was cause it was actually pretty good. Still prefer the original though.

Damn so they did play an afterhours set at Eternal then sucks that I missed it. I was already pretty tired anyway and I didn't think they were heading out to Eternal so I took off.

Hmmm

You liked their mixing??? What mixing...the computer did all the work. I didn't see them use one record or CD. All I saw was Dave lean over and see what Josh was gonna play...then mess around with the mixer....it almost felt like they put on a CD and just let it play. I enjoyed their show a lot more from before at SKY.

Posted by Frisco on Jan-23-2005 00:30:

I loved the show!!!! I loved them starting off with In The End and just launching from there. The after hours was pretty good from what I could remember...I kinda had my hands full with this girl that was just molesting me (hate it when that happens!!! It's always kinda nice when the girl does the approaching.

OH!!! And let me tell ya the big news of the night.....Matthias in a Versace shirt!!!! I almost didn't recognize him!!!!

They used Ableton Live 4. Wasnt suppsed to be a DJ set, more of a live PA of sorts. I give em credit since 95% of the tracks they played were there's or remixed by them.

Love

Most momentous tracks of the night have got to be:

Nicola Gala feat. Perasma - Swing to harmony (G&D Rmx)
Rachel Starr - Til there was you (G&D 12's Step Program mx)
Motorcycle - Before we fade away aka Around you (new mix?)

and my super favorite : Golan Globus - Blazer V.2; This song's worth the 3hrs drive up and back.
