And what's this #1 reference?
Misja is certainly not the #1 DJ right now...we know who that is, and always will be according to DJ Mag

i think he owns it now... that's pathetic IMO...

i'll have to listen to the set again, it's been a while, but I remember it being pretty good, that was before I started DJing though, so the mistakes ought to be alot more obvious to me now

this is so old, like cro magnan man old, not even neanderthal, back before humans were even primitive apes....ive seen tiesto live higher than you can count....yes the man does trainwreck from time to time(so does your man ferry, they are humans), but when he wants to his mixing is clean and he has good set structure. not to mention he is one of the busiest djs in the world, spining 20sets in 25 days, so give the guy a break....so please enough of this redundant vanilla ice played out critisisms, youve said your piece, we all know it, move on...if you would of been in toronto, you would see why a lot a of people think he is number one, maybe not you, but others-- the guy can flat out rock a party....i dont know why i even argue this anymore, im just sick of these parochial arguments...

Anthony Pappa, saw him at crobar back in august i think, guy rocked it.....

i didnt even know there where misja helsloot haters, the guy isnt all that popular, but i compare him to tiesto, and all of sudden he gets slapped with the "trainwrecker" tag (god that term is egregiously overused on this forum), what a cruel ironic coincidence....i have more than a couple sets from him, and havent heard a trainwreck yet.... but i will wait to judge him more comprehensivly after i see him live, thats the real test for me(and should be for everyone) dont talk shit to hear them live...

Exactly, I've listened to that set several times before and I never noticed ANY
Granted it's been a while and I wasn't listening to it to critique it, but there was never a point where I said "WTF?"

thank you, thats what im saying....some people on this forum have a bad habit of just bangwagoning on other people 'opinions' and not forming there own, kinda of sad....

Posted by TranCyn on Jan-12-2005 04:02:

some people on this forum have a bad habit of being very negative about everyone and everything but tiesto.......

Posted by Mattivi on Jan-12-2005 04:09:

and some people on this forum are nothing but negative towards tiesto, huh? oh the irony....

that's pretty ironic since now Tiesto's skill lies only in producing...

but he used to be a great DJ

It's the first fucking mix, he wrecks it. Then again later in the set. I'm not saying the tracks arn't good, but the mixing work leaves alot to be desired. I listened to the set, didn't like it.

Don't say that about Mattivi's boyfriend, he might get pissed.

ive listened to the set, there are a few time where songs arent perfectly beatmatched but no obvious trainwrecks, maybe you need to get a better grasp on what a trainwreck is there slick...

hey if thats his opinion thats fine, but i dont see him incessantly stating this over and over again, the same shit everytime tiesto's name is mentioned, its really gay and played out just like you...maybe if you would clear the man cum out of your eyes you would see my point, but you probably like it too much.....

Posted by TranCyn on Jan-12-2005 04:31:

well gregs off to bed im sure hell say something to you tomorrow, but i wouldnt wanna talk such trash about someone a lot bigger than you who youll be seeing soon....

I don't have to....Ive seen him live before. And if you don't think so then check out his set from Asta dated (02-21-04) If you call that good mixing....then I feel bad for you.

brian, no one is saying it is great mixing, i havent listened to the set for awhile, i remember there were some rough parts(fender benders), but nothing i would quite classify as a trainwreck.. the newer mixes i have are pretty good, hope to see him at the conference...
im retiring on the argueing here, flame me if you, ive had enough..

Bro....the first mix is fucking HORRIBLE....so fucking horrible he cuts the track out cause the beat was sooo off....then it still didn't match the second time. Im not bashing the guy....Im prob one of the few people in this thread that have seen him live. He deff rocked it but his mixing isn't anything above amateur. Thats the point im trying to make. Im not flaming anybody.
