you're right, its the track ... but that doesnt mean that armin doesnt has nothing to do with it .... armin is the online who plays it yet ....
this however does not mean this WILL be the theme track for sensation white 2005, although its very very likely it will be. but its not the kinda thing i hope armin has to do with, that he would drop so low that he would make the sensation theme, its always such a cheap tune, which gets so commercial ... thats something that gielen should do i think, but hey, thats my opinion
anyway, the track will now CERTAINLY get an idea, else it would not be played on the sensation white 2005 preview as a soundtrack.
i wonder whats it gonna be named like

Sensation - The Anthem 2005 most proppably...

And the real name ?

Posted by XDR on Mar-15-2005 17:10:

Very nice! Didn't see this coming!

But I think all information discussed before still applies. Armin is indeed the only one playing it, which pretty much means he must have made it. I don't consider it low of him to produce the Sensation Anthem at all. Those anthems do indeed get hyped, and played a lot on commercial radio but that doesn't say anything about the production itself. I think this is one of the best anthems for sure, possibly even the best for me (altho Super String is still a huge classic)

Well I think that could well possible be Armin van Buuren - Souvenir de Chine, as I already said

Guys I can confirm - this is the Armin van Buuren - Sensation White 2005 anthem

I saw someone mention Souvenir de Chine up above. Please, God, no!

Posted by AlonMiz on Mar-17-2005 22:08:

that sound exactly like the souvenir de chine melody!
damn all my body is shaking.

Could this be the track we were all waiting for?
The successor of "Adagio for Strings" (The most important trance creation)...

No words can describe Adagio for Strings......
No words can describe this unknown track either......

It is similar, but not exactly a rip off in my opinion. The melody isn't the same.

Well that's only your assumption. Some of you already think that this unknown track is a remix/remake of Souvenir De Chine but no one knows yet.
C'mon people, is this really the first time that a new track get released that sounds like an older track?

exactly, so dont bark @ each other ... the fact it MIGHT be souvenir de chine is an assumption some persons made for THEMSELVES, not for you ... the only thing that is a fact, i think, is that this track will be the new sensation anthem ... since u hear this track when going to the sensation white preview which is mentioned in this thread earlier ...so dont mock @ each other, and discuss what it could be .. if u dont liek it, then tell that later on in the music discussion or releases discussionwhen this track is released or reviewed ...

After listening to it again, and in a quiet setting, I'll agree in that it's not totally the same, but quite similar.

My only thing is that the lead synth and the kick remind me a lot of Tijs' version of Adagio, and if people hadn't been so adamant about it being an Armin tune, I'd definitely say it was done by Tijs.

The tune needs a bassline, too.

When I listened to the broadcast live, I thought for sure it was a new Tiesto production. I think I posted in the thread for that episode that it had to be a Tiesto production, but I guess anyone using a Virus synth could make something like that. I am still open to idea that Armin and Tiesto collaborated on it because it sounds like Armin's kick and Tiesto's synth...plus it is too good to be a recent Armin production.

After listening to this track for 6 days (for at least 24 times each day), I can honestly say that this is by far the best track I heard since the masterpiece: Adagio for Strings (Ferry Corsten Remix).
(Which was in 1999 for crying out loud!)

They might've collaborated, and I definitely wouldn't rule that out. I disagree on the kicks. They, along with the synths, are what said, "Tisto!" Maybe Armin's trying to reach number one by copying who's already there.

I'd agree with that!

(Tiesto's Adagio didn't appeal to me in any way, shape or form. It's only half a melody, for starters...)

Fire & Ice Souvenir de Chine was damn good, though. (Different to this new tune, but not disimilar. Definately an influence for whoever made this new track, though.)

I did also like Jan Gustafsson's "True Fiction", too, but it's on a completely different "epic" scale to the aforementioned.

I like epic trance.

Agree 107%!

I never connected to Tiesto's Adagio.
Souvenir de Chine was awesome!
And I love epic trance too
