Well i can say one thing for my ipod apart from running over with a car they are pretty strong. I was at the gym this morning and decided to get all tangled in towel and ipod earplug lead which resulted in my ipod becoming airborne and hitting the back wall on the full at a great rate of knots. Ipod happily kept playing no problems, then just for fun did it again, ipod still happy, me not.

I'm thinking of getting a Creative Zen Micro 5gb
check out the iriver h10 muli. similar money for a 5gig unit with a colour screen.

can anyone hook me up with some pcitures of iriver h300 serie? I mean the navigation.
also, when you connect the player to the computer, it is plug and play, but is it possible to get a program to it, so you can organize your music with tags?
fuck i love my iriver!

have you had a look at any mp3 cameras? i got mine for 200 bucks its pretty usefull if you ever need to take a picture, while listening to music
im thinking of getting an h10 or the new sony 20 gb one.
i dont think im ever away from my comp long enough to warrant more than 5gb, and it would mean i'd refresh my music regulary.
but sony is rad.
sony is pretty fucking far from rad.
most of my stuff is sony. ive never had a problem with anything sony and will continue to get sony products until i do
go play with your ipod shuffle and be quiet
sony do make pretty good stuff, their tv's own, their lcd tv's own, their portable audio stuff is generally pretty good to, although after seeing scotty's iriver, i'm sold on it and i dont even want one
Can anyone tell me how the hell you put mix CDs onto an ipod without the gaps? It's driving me crazy!
I just got an ipod and haven't figured out how to do this yet...
I have tried:
(1) Removing the crossfade function. This is supposed to remove the gap and fade in/ fade out between tracks but there is still a small gap of about half a second.
(2) Using HJSplit to join together the files using .001, .002 file extensions, just like i do when i download sets from djmixes2k in parts. The problem is, when i try and rename the files so that all have the same file name (except for the .001, .002...at the end) they remain as mp3 files. They SHOULD change to .001 files automatically but for some reason i can't get it to work.
Arrrrghh!!!!
I know i have to join the files together somehow but i can't do it. If anyone could help that would be great.
OK, i figured out how to do it now ![]()
For anyone that is wondering how to put a mix CD on an ipod without the gap:
The only way to avoid gaps on mix CDs is to rip the entire CD using iTunes by highlighting all the tracks, selecting "Join CD Tracks" in the Advanced menu, then Convert Selection to AAC (or MP3). It'll end up as one MASSIVE file instead of separate tracks but there will be no gaps on playback. Then transfer that file to your iPod.
which suck, cause then if you want a specific track you have to search through the whole thing..
I always just stick with the entire album devided in to tracks =)
