| Originally posted by Highmay hahaha!! dude, are you kidding me with a statement like this?? your taste in movies is about as good as an anorexic's taste in food...visit the video store a little more often and open your mind up...there's a lot of good movies before 1994...just trust me on this... |
Very hard to fathom American Pie as a 'great' movie but at least it was funny.
Yet, at the same time, it's hard to listen to someone saying "look at my list....this is what you should be liking." Most times people are gonna tell you to fawk off. Hey, I know I'm guilty of not understanding peoples movie choices many times.
I guess me being a fossil on these boards at 28 years old allows for more of an aged sensitive list as well. Some of these people here on this board are like 17 years old.
Although the way Highmay says things is quite aggressive, the message about going back to see some older great movies is a good one. Better to see some amazing classics like "Elephant Man" then it is to rent "Catwoman."
#1 EVER. Scarface
The others, in no particular order:
Braveheart
Gladiator
Saving Private Ryan
Hackers
Mortal Kombat
Enter the Dragon
Jaws
Scary Movie
The Star Wars series.
lets not forget one of the greatest. Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
i just remembered "21 grams" is also an amazing movie...
im sure a movie a lot of you like as well, but no1 mentioned is Vanilla Sky. loooooved the movie, you can put that in my top 10, hands down.
