the story, characters, technical aspects, and direction were top notch...nothing bad about the movie at all...now if it wasn't one of your FAVORITES (clear distinction between quality and taste), then i wouldn't say anything...

yeah, that was the intention of the director. i guess girls can relate more to that than guys... cuz this movie is like half romance & half martial arts.. one doesnt overpower the other.. i thought it carried itself pretty well until the last scene.. thats when the chic flik-o-meter exploded in my system...

hmm iono man...i think if i had seen this movie and seen the seasons coming, i would have started laughing my ass off. somehow i cannot take cheesiness in movies, theres a fine line between being artistic and being over-the-top

That's Dreamcatcher (I think), a Stephen King movie. I personally love that movie, because it's so completely insane. But it's definitely not for everyone

You want some really bad movies? Watch some Mystery Science Theater 3000, they had movies that make Alien vs. Predator look fantastic

Posted by Trancer-X on Jan-28-2005 07:07:

I can't believe
that no one here
has mentioned

I tend to like bad movies. However, even I have some I just can't stand.

Catwoman surprised no one has mentioned this yet
Garfield
Dodgeball
House of 1000 Corpses stick to rock music, Rob. on 2nd thought, don't stick to anything at all
Robocop 3
Police Academy 7 - Mission to Moscow
Resident Evil: Apocalypse
Street Fighter sadly Raul Julia's last movie before he passed away
Canadian Bacon
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 - Turtles in Time
Looney Tunes In Action
Beverly Hills Ninja
Enough a stupid J-Lo flick
Maid in Manhattan another stupid J-Lo flick
Flinstones
Reign of Fire
Mr. Nanny with Hulk Hogan
28 Days Later
Night of The Living Dead *1990 remake

Honorable mentions:

Rocky IV I liked the movie, but Sylvester Stallone against Dolph Lundgren? this should be classified as sci-fi

Vegas Vacation based off the National Lampoon "Vacation" series, after 14 years of the original, I think the theme lost its magic (as did the actors & writers)

The Aviator I just find this one disturbing

Haven't seen, but know I would despise if I did

First Daughter
Any flicks with the Olson Twins
Muppets from Space
Cool As Ice

^^ mos def catwoman
soul plane
battlefield earth
spice world

The preview for "Catwoman" looked awful that's why I never saw it but sometimes you have to get "lucky" to catch some of these flicks. Like your dumb brother renting it and bringing it back.

However, thinking about Halle Barry in a skin tight cat suit doesn't sound too bad.

Hey! Canadian Bacon had its moments. Certainly not one of the worst of all time. And Reign of Fire and 28 Days Laters were pretty good I thought for what they were. All the rest I agree 100%

From my original list, 28 Days Later actually got really good reviews. There were just some big plotholes I couldn't quite sit with. I guess it wasn't so bad. It just didn't strike me as amazing when I first saw it.

Canadian Bacon is probably the reason Michael Moore stuck with documentaries. It had some funny scenes, but all around I was like, "what?" If you check Rotten Tomatoes you'll see most critics agreed. It's not a terribly bad thing if you do like it. I happen to like movies that most other people find really stupid.

Reign of Fire probably wouldn't have made my list had my date been so disappointed with it. I think her disappointment kind of rubbed off on me. I've not had a desire to see the movie again, since. Eh... my opinions stink.
