whats maxing out? and whats someones pleatau?
Maxing out is finding the weight that , trying as hard as you can, you can only lift 1-3 times.
A plateau is when youve been doing the same amount of weight for like 3 weeks and every time you try a heavier weight you cant do it. This is from the muscles becoming accustomed to your work out and they stop growing. You need to do shock therapy at this point. normally it goes chest back chest back for a day. to shock you chest chest back back and just really hit that muscle hard. Lower the weight and do insane number of reps, etc...just change it up.
Heres a little story. 1 month ago i had been working out a lot, as usual. I was benching the 60s and 70s. A mini plateau had been reach. For the past month i havent gone beyond 50 lbs. Ive just been doing 4 sets of 15-20 with weights ranigng from 40-50 and going until failure a lot.
1 month ago: 80lb dbs 2 timees
today: 2 sets of 8 with the 80s
i coulda hit the 90s up
Moral: correct weight lifting will bring strength of its own
you only need to try for strength occasionally to help shock them !!
shit don't you hate when you're at the gym and you just get owned. man, i got there tonight and i just didn't have the energy. i cry when i think of the way i used to look...whoa to me

yeah...ive been eatin less and I have more energy than ever and ive been makin better strength gains...dunno if that means anything. Im mainly just loving goin in there and i just keep friggn goin until Im just pulsing with veins lol. Once i get there i just gotta get every thing as hard as I can. Grunting helps!
and no this isnt about sex >8(

Hammer curls. hold weights vertical. gets yah good.
ive been doing stuff like shoulder shrugs, low weight high rep flies, and stomach rope pulldowns and my forearms...i had to use a machine today cuz i couldnt hold onto rope any more. I dont ever really focus on them. but wrist curls and reverse wrist curls as well

i wonder if theres some thing you can squeeze for the forearms. im thinking building the forearms a bit would make for better hand grip.
so wut about abs?

So ok guys........
my Shoulders are chillin, and i know how to work upper body just fine.
I mean, i gained 20lbs in 3 months alone in upper body mass.
but here's the thing- i drink tons of beer and alcohol.
my abs arent the best. Im trying to get my abs/obliques and that general stomach area in tip top shape.
once i got all that down- i should be modeling for calvin klein underwear in no time!
so how do i work abs, bitches?
read jasons stuff... and quit drinking. You need like 9% body fat or lower to have good abs
