Maxing out is finding the weight that , trying as hard as you can, you can only lift 1-3 times.

A plateau is when youve been doing the same amount of weight for like 3 weeks and every time you try a heavier weight you cant do it. This is from the muscles becoming accustomed to your work out and they stop growing. You need to do shock therapy at this point. normally it goes chest back chest back for a day. to shock you chest chest back back and just really hit that muscle hard. Lower the weight and do insane number of reps, etc...just change it up.

Heres a little story. 1 month ago i had been working out a lot, as usual. I was benching the 60s and 70s. A mini plateau had been reach. For the past month i havent gone beyond 50 lbs. Ive just been doing 4 sets of 15-20 with weights ranigng from 40-50 and going until failure a lot.

1 month ago: 80lb dbs 2 timees
today: 2 sets of 8 with the 80s i coulda hit the 90s up

Moral: correct weight lifting will bring strength of its own you only need to try for strength occasionally to help shock them !!

Man, I've been having one of those WEEKS! I've had no strength and no pump for my last 3 workouts.

I hate to admit it but, I'm pretty sure I'm overtraining and not getting enough sleep. I might take this weekend off and veg a bit; chow down on mass quantities and sleep like a bear.

Might be kinda mental tho too...I've been pining for my new turntables on Friday and I've got my end-of-year review tomorrow...need to just focus and block that shizz.

Im mainly just loving goin in there and i just keep friggn goin until Im just pulsing with veins lol. Once i get there i just gotta get every thing as hard as I can. Grunting helps!

man i'm telling you man. my senior year in high school...i was repping 210lbs for 10-12 reps on bench...i won't even say what i'm struggling with tonight...it's just pathetic

i think for me it's totally two things...

1. i've basically lost the last four years and haven't lifted consistantly...

2. my diet is shit and that including my long day leaves me with no energy...

i need to improve the diet and then i'll be able to hit that shit...it's just so disheartening though hahaha...fucking stupid working out


it's all good though...i just need to get the shit together...

Hammer curls. hold weights vertical. gets yah good.

ive been doing stuff like shoulder shrugs, low weight high rep flies, and stomach rope pulldowns and my forearms...i had to use a machine today cuz i couldnt hold onto rope any more. I dont ever really focus on them. but wrist curls and reverse wrist curls as well

read through some of the suggestions i gave lucid for abs...those apply to everyone...


as for forearms...i've got pretty decent forearms and these are the different exercises i do...

Forearm curls - basically like doing bicep curls with a bar, but only a reverse grip

hammer curls - like doing db curls but instead hold the db palm facing your body

wrist curls (i dunno what they're called...that's what i call them hehe) - sit on the bench with a db. put your forearm on your leg so that your wrist hangs over the end of your knee. then you curl the db up and down.

flexor curls (once again..just my name hehe) - take a straight bar and hold it behind you. then let it roll all the way down to your fingers and then curl it all the way back up...


if any of those are confusing i can maybe take a picture or something...

cause i am looking through the list orbax gave me, which i plan to start next week, and i am thinking at some of them.
going to have do to some research.

walking lunges i think you called them. i was doing that while i walked my deg yesterday. you can definately feel the difference.

orbax...my best friend was a monster at the walking lunge man...most i ever did was 180...this ****** literally was doing laps with 285...

my Shoulders are chillin, and i know how to work upper body just fine.
I mean, i gained 20lbs in 3 months alone in upper body mass.


but here's the thing- i drink tons of beer and alcohol.

my abs arent the best. Im trying to get my abs/obliques and that general stomach area in tip top shape.

once i got all that down- i should be modeling for calvin klein underwear in no time!


so how do i work abs, bitches?

here is a little ab workout for you to do...


hanging leg raises - 4 sets to failure
oblique machine - 4 sets of 12-15 reps
standing side crunches - 4 sets of 12-15 reps
ab machine 4 sets of 12 -15 reps
medicine ball situps - 4 sets to failure

i think if you did that regularly and cut down on the drinking...you'd be modeling in no time



god i need to take some of my own advice
