8:30am on the nose! Ended the night with Smells Like Teen Spirit (unsure of the exact remix) I know he played the same version in October when he was last here.

What a night. Holy crap. That was absolutely insane. I think I left my legs back at the KH. I can't feel anything. Just pain. Why oh Why did Armin have to drop one amazing track after another to stop me from Not dancing.
Nick Warren and Nu NRG were absolutely fantastic. I arrived on the last leg of Nick Warren's set, really liked what I was hearing. Nu NRG came around and at about 3am I really couldnt stop myself from going right up front and centre. Stayed there till 4 or so... being front and center for Armin's entry was awesome.
didn't stop dancing/jumping (cuz sometimes it was just crammed all you could do was put your hands up and jump!) till about 5:30... thought I was gonna pass out from exhaustion so stepped out for some air. I must have walked back and forth in the tent connection thingy between KH and Guv like 4 times. Then all of a sudden the bouncer comes along and says "One Way Only!"
Whatever.
Got back in just in time for Ridgewalkers - Find. Thats when I just went ballistic. Frickin love that track.
btw, can't remember.. but did he drop Jump The Next Train?

Anyways, It was a great night, sans the shirtless ginos. That was something we could have had less of.

Nice meeting some of you TA's finally! RJ, Karim, Jem_Hadar to name a few!
See y'all at the next party!

Great party overall

Got in little after 1 am, and got to hear Nick Warren, he was awsome, I never heard him before, NUNRG I wasn't too crazy about, Armin was awsome for the first 2,3 hours then he played a little too much techno, I was too beat to dance to it, especially that I fell yesterday and hurt me knee. One complain is that Armin played a little too loud, felt me ears hurting (forgot my ear plugs)

Great to see Erica, glad you made it down to Toronto you're bring out such a great vibe, and great to see many of you, met couple of new faces but I'm horrid with names so I'm not going to try.

As for the club, well I was dissappointed in how many people were smoking, I came out stinking like an astray, and woke up having trouble breathing.

Till Next Great Party

Peace, Love, Unity

Eso

+1!

That definitely got to me by the end. When I left (around 6:15) I actually had a headache from all the smoke. Soon as I got out and got some air it went away.

amazing party! nu-nrg was sick! but i wish they played butterfly armin kicked fukin assssssss!! couldnt last all the way to the end tho cuz my legs and my god damn EARS were killlllling me! i swear i thot they would pop or something! left at 7am anyway so that was fine for me.

ps. anyone kno if armin played vadim-exit vs remy and roland-fearless? i asked him if he can but i dunno, he was like shrugging or something and pointing at the turntable? i guess he didnt have the vinyl on him or something. it wasnt ever even released, maybe theres no vinyl? i guess the track was only a one time thing (on asot). that definitely would have topped off my night tho

anyway, best party of the year so far!

Yeah I noticed that as well but didn't see that as a problem for me (& I hate cig. smoke )...I guess its because I was moving from room to room but I hope that the Guv will clamp down on this shit

They're actually being tightened up (or are supposed to be) even more. Within a year or two, even smoking rooms will be illegal.

sorry didn't meet any TAs, cuz i took coxy out for supper to Burger King, man he has an appetite! 3 burgers and 2 milk shakes...

LOL - review of the year!

Had a good time even with my lack of sleep from this week. Got in quickly (thx John for the guestlist) around 11. KH was already pretty full by then. Partied with lots of TAs in the crowd, met a few new faces such as tftproductions. Nice chillin with ya dude & congrats on your record stuff.

Nick Warren dropped an awesome remix of some rock track (heh, I really dont know the name of the original, I hear it all the time at rock clubs). It kicked my ass. NuNrg wasn't bad, thier use of that MC-909 was tight.

I caught probably no more than an hour of Carl Cox's set - without a doubt, that was good effin' techno! Guv main room had plenty of room when I was there (around 6ish), even behind the DJ stage where you could see the guy doing all his mixes and hitting drum samples off a CD deck!

Before Armin went on I got a photo I took of him on the boat cruise last year autographed, which was pretty cool. Armin dropped all kinds of tunes I heard off ASOT lately. Gotta love that Calling Your Name remix, and the It Smells Like Teen Spirit tune at the end

C'ya guys at Ultra Spin 7 w/Ferry!

great night indeed!

see everyone at HYBRID AT SYSTEM THIS FRIDAY

Posted by Euphorica on Mar-25-2005 20:58:

wow, what a great night!(besides the gardiner heading in )

nick warren was great..NU NRG tore the fucking place up imo. absolutely amazing. armin was insane aswell however so many people seemed to be tired by then. (they turned up the sound ..or so it seemed which was a bit annoying. )

crowd wasnt to bad. I stayed in kh most of the night. popped in when graham was on the decks but it was retardedly packed in there.

armin really impressed me... didnt realize how nice he was.
thanks to the dude who put that little time sheet up in the orginal thread. Armin signed that for me!

Nu NRG,and Nick warren impressed me. they were awesome.

i got some pics ill share later and maybe do a longer review.

I really enjoyed last night!

Kool Haus Review

Nick Warren- 15/10 best prog set by far ever

Nu Nrg - 12/10 Kool haus was going ape shit

AVB - 2.5/10 at least he has little graphic shows like Tiesto now, but forgot to play good music, the place was goin nutz & then AVB took over, devivered old stale tunes that should have been thrown out, even with an extended set it wasn't even worth stayin....Fuck it i retract my 2.5 & give him a -4 for the cheezy tiesto ripoff he was doin

Posted by Euphorica on Mar-25-2005 21:12:

what time did they finish?
cox?
armin?

i left at about 1/4 to 6.

Posted by RandomGirl on Mar-25-2005 21:22:

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all, I was SUPER happy that I even got in, let alone the amazing night that was to follow.

The music was great, the people were awesome, I got to meet a few TA's but unfortunatly missed a lot of them. Half of the names of the TA's I did meet, I couldn't hear (yea I am deaf for sure now).

Anyway, I am too tired to give a long winded review, but I have to give thanks to both Sean and Lowell, (Lowell, I really do owe you big time). With few complaints, I would say all in all it was a fantastic evening!

Woooooooooo! I would do it all over again for sure!

Posted by starsearcher on Mar-25-2005 21:23:

Did anyone notice the security people at the guv last night? What was that all about? They had their own bouncers...and securty people in black pants, white polo shirts, with walky talkys and such..

Posted by trancemaster11 on Mar-25-2005 21:23:

Let me just start by saying that Guvernment/Koolhaus management is WHACKED!!! why no access to Guv from inside of KoolHaus ??? Anywhos with that out of the way...
WHAT A AMAZING party .
Nathan as usual was on top of his game i even scored a cd off him. Thnx Nathan .Dj Remy delivered what was expected off him. Nick Warren all i have to say is OMG. Nu Nrg well lets just say they should have been headliners. They Rocked. Armin ummm i do not know whats going on with Armin and Armada. Is Armin really trying too hard to still prove himself or he is giving into the freaking popularity he has gotten in past year or so. I luv the old Armin and was expecting maybe he would display that last night in his set but i was wrong. He played an ok set and honestly i had alot more fun listening to Nu Nrg and Nick Warren.
All in all i would give last night an 8 out of 10.
