Hilarious thing was I think he peeped in on one of my PvW flame posts... I think we called him out on the laptop thing (hitting the automix button, surfing the web...) because he had his Mac hidden behind the booth this time... Too bad for the big ass mirror Mr. Paul Van Laptop: Busted!!!

It's hard to believe because he DID so well in November so I'd expect him to do the same, besides LAST WMC he rocked Space IMO so I thought it would be good this time around. Oh well all DJ's sets change.

Some people think so, some people loved the set. Whatever.

Ridgewalkers feat. El - Find (Kyau Vs. Albert Remix)
Rio Addicts - Crossroads (Probspot Remix)
Tiesto - Adagio For Strings

I recognized a hell of a lot more, but after Edgar V, PVD, Ferry and everything else the next day at UMF and lots and lots of alcohol, I can't be sure about whether or not PVD played certain tracks that night.

I'd love a playlist. I remember myself and everyone who came with me just raving about the tracks he played -- I feel really sorry for the people who didn't enjoy themselves that night because they thought PvD was "off" or whatever.

So far is a 50/50 about the PvD set @ space.. I heard crap reviews about it, as well rave reviews, guess I can only judge by been there, but was it anything close to the Ultra set or something?!?!?.. Cause if it was similiar then Id have to say PvD was good.. but other then that.. till the next time heh.

WOW!!! OMG!! WOW!!!
This night was the best night of the week for me

I got to Space a little after 11:30. Stupid Cab lady was going soooo slow!!! I had a space pass so I was able to by pass the line no problem. My friends who had e-tickets and got there later where not so lucky. They got in at 4:30!!!!
I missed most of Edgar V's set. But what I heard I really liked. he got the room dancing! PVD came one at around 1:15ish. By this time the club was packed and ready.
WOW!! This was the best PVD set I heard live EVER!!! When he Droped the Vocal verion of "Someday" I almost lost it. WOW. Then He also droped "Jump the next Train" The tracks PVD played where beautiful and moveing. Yes there where some parts of his set that moved slower then others but it was a good slow. He also had tracks with energy.
For some Reason when Ferry Came on I knew I was going to be taken on a musical journy one that I have never experinced. Boy was I right. Ferry Owned the night! Every Track he layed down I loved. "Force Of Gravity" "I Love you" "Punk" "Rock your Body Rock" "Right of way"... "Ligaya" where just some of the tracks he layed down. His set was so beautiful and so amazing. It was Funny around the 3rd hour I got sad since when I normaly see Ferry out here in La we only get 3 to 3.5 hours. But he kept going. I made my little hearts with my hands and he saw me and made them back
Ferry Played for all most 6 hours. The hard core fans stuck around when he got on the Mic and asked if we wanted more. and we Did.
After his set I followed him up to the Terrece. and he invited me in to hang out with him in the VIP. hehe After all when he is in the west cost I go to all the shows I can and always make a point and chat.
Right when we get to the Terrece Sander droped "Mr. Brightside" and that was awesome. Sanders set was awesome and very sexy. I got my sexy dance groove on.
After about an hour I was done. I smelt like shit and looked like shit so it was time to shower and power nap before Ultra.

Wow! Ferry's set was the best set I heard in a very long time. He also had the best set of WMC imo. For those of you who skiped out early. Shame Shame Shame. I was blown away!!!

that pretty much sums up the 5 hours i was there. i was trying so hard to have a good time and get into it but i just couldnt i was looking forward to seeing him after his new years set was so intense.

i wish i would of had the energy to go up to the terrace and stick it out, but pvd just put me in the stank sour mood and my ass dipped back to west palm. thats saying a lot since i left considered i could of stayed and saw sander or ferry for the rest of the night.

edgar v did make my night at space worth it though.

Sounds KILLER. That reassures me even more that I wouldn't have made it to ULTRA if I'd gone to Space for PVD & Ferry. Damn it. Whatever. There's always next year for me. PVD played Jumped the Next Train....sweet. Which mix?

Force of Gravity...my song...I knew it. Ah well, at least I caught Tisto's mix at ULTRA.

Fuck PVD...

He played Jump the Next Train.

pretty damn sure it was the Kyau VS Albert remix. PvD is not likely to play any other.

Your right... Ive seen PvD @ space only twice, but Id have to say that Id always give better props to PvD when he does the outdoor gigs.. I dont know, or is it just me.

Many people have said that. You know as well as I do how he tore up the 4th of July last year. Last year's ULTRA set was also really good. There are exceptions to this though, like the first time I saw him at ClubSpace on 7/26/02. Marathon 4 or 6 hour set (can't remember) and it was historic. He always plays longer indoors most of the time.

Hmm. I think the exact opposite. I always think he does 30 times better in the club atmosphere than outside. I guess it depends on the person and the environment they are in, I think that can make a world of difference.

*edit* with the exception of Ultra "beachfest" when he ripped it way better than EVER!! He threw down some sick tunes that nite which I had never expected him to play.

I went to that event as well. Hah, I didn't give two shits about ANY other DJ there, what a pitiful lineup. I only went for PVD, right at the end. Someone else paid for my ticket so it wasn't a waste of money for me. He played Breathing (Breaks dub) and I was REALLY happy.

omg that ENTIRE event was a fuckover and not to mention how pissed I was having to wait for Paul to come on...I was so mad I stayed sitting down outside till it was time for him...after he came on I totally forgot being mad or bothered...it was worth it going through that hell just to see him at the end. I was plotting at one point to throw something at DJ Icey and Donald Glaude... :: points gun to head:: it was horrendous.

We think so alike, it's scary.

I got there like 20-30 mins after he started but still enjoyed that set to death. The end of the night, now THAT was the sucky part for me...

Bottom line: he MADE that event. The other DJs were a joke. All genres that were lame. Guess that Ultra "beach" fest needed some "filler music" until THE REAL DEAL came on...PVD, DA MAN.

Then again, the place wasnt a club heh... PvD's favorite sets to me have been those done outdoors.. like the 4th of July, which was probably last years best set that Ive assisted... other then that, the club space last year @ the WMC, which was good, he played flight 643, where he killed me, but he just bored me to death with playing all the damm remixes of Nothing but you and the other reflections tracks.. Ultra was about the same tunes, but he just picked the best ones I guess, so I loved HeH .. this year PvD did a better set @ ultra then last yrs though.. he was just on fire.
