-vendredi felix pour moi
-samedi apr�m football game on tv (moroccan derby the most important game of the year) ensuite je suppose chez louis mais je sais pas a quelle heure ca commence
-dimanche invit� chez my brother's inlaws pour un bbq (il se peut que ca soi samedi au lieu de dimanche) bref ... on trouvera surement le temps pour une shisha, i mean come onnnnnn

You should look around on the internet, or in the gazette to find locals that are renting their places out for the weekend, sometimes, you can get some deals.

question is - where on the internet? i've checked out the 2 sites recommended in the "official visitors to montreal thread" and hotels.ca, but no luck there...

I was in Montreal for the F1 last year and we had to book outside of Mtl in Laval.. and even then the hotel was $250/night.. I don't know what else to tell you..
You may have to go outside the city and travel back and forth..

well, last time I managed to find a cheap Motel outside of the city core, some 15-20 min drive from downtown for $180 for 3 nights alltogether, but this time I'm looking for something closer. A lot closer to downtown.

Guys, seriously, no need to get a hotel room. Check this out:

a)Come with a small suitcase or backpack that you can lock at the local bus or train station.

b)Party on Friday night for Derrick Carter or Infected Mushroom and Saturday night for Sasha & Steve Porter, so that you're up till at least 10:00AM on both nights. Go to McGill or Concordia and shower in the public bathrooms there (or if you're lucky slip into their gym and use the showers there), and sleep in the library if its raining or outside on the greenery if its nice.

No need to spend shit loads of money, worry about reservations and all the crap. Yes, you might look like a hobo and you won't have a room to bring back MTL hookers, but bite the bullet this one time if you can't find anything for less than 150$ a night.
