hehe

over here in the UK/Ireland I can only watch baseball on sunday nights. There's a show called Sunday Night Baseball. Last week was the Angels vs the Athletics and during the commercials (of the actual game) it would just be two guys bantering back and forth (think ESPN Sport~Centre, but as if it was down on a local cable channel by two guys in their house)

anyways they got on the topic of the name change and they kept reading emails from people in the UK who utterly despice the name. It was quite funny and the rest of the game, they kept making cracks about the name.

True story. This Sunday night is Mets v Nationals so i'm definitely looking forward to that.

No surprises here. Orioles went around and shopped for big bats in the offseason, and their mediocre pitching will FOR SURELY get them into playoffs this year, just like I predicted (see my 2005 MLB Predictions thread). No worse than a wildcard.

[/URL]

I saw that the Orioles are trying to rip Todd Helton out of Colorado...if they get him..their lineup will be ridiculous..they will be like the angels when they one, monster hitting and adequate pitching

That american guy on that show is a dick head. lol There both dumbasses actually Im so glad I moved back so I dont have to deal with that. If you ever watch the NBA show on Channel 5 its even worse and wait til NFL season

haha and i bet the NFL season is hilarious! too bad i'm heading home in June . Oh well it was fun while it lasted.

What a surprisingly long winning streak. You knew it was going to end sooner or later. I was anticipating him to reach 20-21 consec. wins.

As for another AL Central team, the Indians ...

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN CLEVELAND? I AM SHOCKED THAT THEY HAVE SUCH A HORRIBLE START. Man, I cant believe I picked them to win the division title, though I know they'll do better as the season goes deeper ...

Anyone watch the Cards comeback yesterday? For the first time in a while the Cards bullpen got lit up but with such a potent offence you can never count them out. God the line-up isnt even firing on all cylinders yet: Rolen, Walker and Edmonds have yet to kick into gear and Pujols is just same old Pujols, awesome. NL Central could be all over by all star break again!

I second that.

Hehe, I watched the entire 3 game series Cardinals at Braves, amazing 2-1 series win for my Braves. Amazing how they managed to scatter 10 Cardinal hits (baserunners in EVERY innning), in a 2-1 victory of the rubber match of those series (Braves had only 4 hits in the game)

Yankees are getting beat up on by the rays again...damn guess you do need team chemistry and a decent farm system to draw prospects from>i am not a yankee fan but i hate to see it going down like this for jeter, williams and Posada..heh if georges horse in the kentucky derby loses i expect him to go pompeii on everyone..maybe dig up billy martin or channel his ghost just so he can fire them.well at least the mets have a better record currently.
Btw i was watching Kris benson play today, has their ever been a more overrated and underachieving player than him.

There have been many.

And Johnny Damon is not one of them.

I mean, the man pitches a two-hitter and just doesn't get any run support. Against the Indians too.

Besides, if you pick against the Twins to win the AL Central, then you deserve to be wrong!!

No offense

No offense to all you Yankee fans out there, but I am really enjoying (and getting surprised by the day) by the demise of the Evil Empire. What in the hell is happening with the Yankees???

I don't like them because they beat up on my Braves in '96 and '99 and the fact that they are allowed to have a 260 million dollar payroll ...

Posted by SlackerBoy9 on May-07-2005 14:37:

Looks like the braves are starting to get it going on offense..as much as i like to hate on the braves for beating up on my Mets in division play...i have alot of respect in their organization for doing things the right way and actually using their farm system and teaching great fundamentals.bobby Coz and leo mazzone are 2 of the best coaches

Yeah, he's not half as bad as say a "Paul Wilson" or a "Ben Grieve" but whenever he chucks one in from Center... I just have to laugh my ass off...worst arm in the Majors....but anyway.

I just can't stand the guy anymore...

Yep ... It's an amazing start to the season for D-Train (hehe, D Train is a name for a cool disco artist I like, hehe) it will be the toughest year yet for my Braves. Marlins are almost for sure set to make playoffs this year. Especially when my Braves' Kolb keeps blowing the saves ... f-cking terrible closer, I hate him ...

Posted by SlackerBoy9 on May-13-2005 23:15:

Strange that Kolb went from being an all star last year to blowing so many save opportunities...Btw what the hell has gotten into Jon Garland...he is 7-0 for the white sox

Wow ... those White Sox are really on a roll. Everything seems to be going their way this season, pitching, batting and bullpen. So far my favourite pick to win the World Series this year. Never expected them to turn it around so much this season. And speaking of the World Series, what was the last time White Sox won it all?

Posted by InterMilan31 on May-14-2005 01:02:

Yanks are back....for now

THAT IS ALL

Posted by SlackerBoy9 on May-14-2005 03:34:

I have no faith in the yankees pitching..nice to see all the guys they got rid of at the end of the year having nice years
