my best birthday EVER!!!

Paul was amazing - I loved every minute of his set [even the ones i don't remember ] I missed the end [sadly] when he played animacion (which i had requested) but such is life.

Special thanks to everyone at the table who pitched in to get us an awesome spot and for making birthday so amazing. It was great to be surrounded by my friends all night. I, like Brian, rarely left the VIP area. We had everything we needed and it worked out well.

I'll post a better review later, when I've recovered from the weekend. Quick shouts:

Lara - Great to hang out with you! I am so glad you came over and we got to talk a bit. Sorry it was under shitty circumstances.

Brian, Joey & Charley - I love you guys, you're awesome! Thanks for taking care of me and helping me get the whole night together. I have so much fun partying with you all!

Ruben - you're either GOD or Satan. Whichever it is, doesn't matter. you rock!!

Dave & Sayward - SO GLAD you guys came out! I always have such an awesome time when we are together.

Mitch, Marie, Chris [St0w], Jen & Philly crew, Ilicia, Rohan, Vlad, AJ, D, Gaaf, Greg, Regina, Daniel, Sam, Joanna, Tommy D Mase, Jessica, the rest of the people at the table, my friends who were there, the TAs I met, everyone who shared the night with me:
I had SUCH a great time and I wish I could single each of you out and thank you all personally. Everyone was incredibly nice and super fun.

The vibe, the set, the club, the people - all perfection. I couldn't imagine a better night! [except perhaps NOT cutting my foot and getting ejected from Cobar ]

PvD is still the man...

ps: if i forgot anyone, it's only because i was so drunk that i have no recollection of even seeing you OR because i'm so worn out that my brain is not functioning.

I'm at work Monday morning (listing to PvD sets) and all I can think about is how much fun this weekend was.

I really wish I could party like this every (other) weekend. It was soooooo good.

RIGHT?

omg..i am SO glad that i went to PVD...his SPACE set was good but THIS SET f0ckin RAWKED left at 6:45am...my only gripe was that they didnt open the main floor till midnite...and I had gotten there at freakin' 10:30pm so was stuck in that gh3y hiphop area for almost 2 hrs...with it getting more and more crowded as time went on...bleh :P

also it got SO crowded in the middle of the floor -- after awhile we couldnt take it, so we tried to step into the VIP area so we could chill wid Bree and krew but they werent letting anyone in there widout a wristband

but im glad it was an awesome bday for u grl...<3 hope ur foot healed by now...

overall such a GREAT nite and i hope he r0cks it at SummerSTAGE...

I hope he was

That was the most incredible set I think I've ever heard. Esp from 6-close. I feel sorry for anybody who left early. The club emptied out, the crowd was great, and the music was fantastic. It's probably a long shot, but does anybody know what two songs PVD played from 6-6:15?

It is Avenue. And for that I fucking hate you all. Not heard that live in so many years now. Gah!

Posted by Thomas Datt on Apr-18-2005 23:50:

yea his mixing is pretty interesting, but thats all ill say heh

after "alone" we got the JOC - Chameleon remix im doing, shaping up very nicely. And the follow up to "alone" will be "evaporate"
I put it on hold for a bit to do the remix and cuz i ran out of ideas as well.

That had to be the best night of my life btw, Paul is great, we got to joke around a bit.

"Alone" sounded amazing at the club. I have heard two different versions of "Alone", but the one last night was so HARD! The bass was just pounding my heart, and the melody moved along quickly...GREAT WORK Tom. I saw you up there jumping and dancing and that must have been such a great moment for you. It looked like you were paying very close attention to Paul's mixxing. Take any good notes?

ummmm....what's next (after "Alone")?

Posted by Dirichlet on Apr-18-2005 23:56:

Where can I get (if it's even possible) a copy of Alone?

i know it's too much to hope for, but does anyone know if the set was recorded / MP3-ed?

Posted by DanceFever on Apr-19-2005 07:40:

Did any of you get to suck PvD's cock? It sounds like a lot of you wanted to. I had fun at Crobar. PvD is OK for a German DJ. PvDeeznutz.

I never seen any recorded set from PVD in NY. So I doubt this one got out there
