Was a great night... ferry played some solid base drivin songs all night long.

ferry - kyoto
ernesto vs bastian - dark side of the moon
kyau vs albert - made of sun
bt - force of gravity (ferry remix)
fb feat edun - who's knocking (amazing song)
solid globe - lost cities (which he fucked up on big time)
rachael starr - till there was you (repeat..oliver's close song)
Ferry Corsten - I Love You
Josh gabriel - alive

left to go see gabriel play a few songs
way out west- mindcircus, motorcycle - around you
then went back to see ferry before we left and he started playin all his classic shit so we couldn't leave

ferry - right of way
marco v - automanual
ferry - punk
ferry - rock your body rock (love this remix)
ferry - holding on (flashover remix)
ferry - its time (flashover)
ferry - cubicated (different remix but its not released in any form yet so it might be the "original" when it is released.)
System f - dance vally theme

and after that we left.. he played a few more songs but i've slept 4 hrs and can't think straight now.. but he is for sure an incredible fucking dj... only wish he was on the guv stage instead.. would have been so much more intense. whoever didn't go missed a great set!

Welp...here we go again

What can I say? This was just an incredible night. I'm writing this still without a shower or clean clothes; I feel it's just the tradition and the way it has to be done....

Left London by about 5:30ish and made it to Toronto without incident (special thanks to my lovely girlfriend for allowing me to borrow her car while I'm saving for new tires). We wandered around Toronto for a while as we were waiting for our buddy DeeJay Zell to meet up with us. We met up with Ampz at the Pantages hotel where he was doing interviews and just chilled with him for a bit. Then we got the hunger bug and decided "To hell with a regular crap meal" and went to Baton Rouge for some UBER ribs. Best idea ever...so good.

Then it was down to the club. Got there by about 10:45 to this long ass line even for guest list. Saw Shaya inline for a bit, chatted things up and continued onward. We were on Nettwerk's list (special thanks to them, once again for hooking us up) so it wasn't an issue on getting in. We entered the club to an already filling Kool Haus which is always good to see. The typical bass in your face and trance in your pants was already starting to get the juices going.

Got our interview with Ferry approved and setup for time and into the club we went. Metup with DeeJay Zell and his buddies as the Addy was banging out the tunes (awsome new remix of 'Nancy Sinatra - Bang Bang [My Baby Shot Me Down]').

[Inside Conversation]
Que Zell; "What's your favorite Ferry track, remix or not?" Alex: uh...uh...shit; there's so many. Scott: Punk. Myself: The Thrillseekers - Synaesthesia 2004 (Ferry Corsten remix)!!!!
[/Inside Conversation]

Metup with Starsearcher and a few new TA's and then decided to head to Guv to check things out and see how Mark was doing.

Once over there (suprising quiet compared to KH) we listened to a bit of Mark's set, went up to the DJ booth to take some pics (unfortunately do to extenuating circumstances; these were the last pictures I took that evening) and say hello, and then it was off to KH again to prepare for the interview.

Couple of minutes listening to Dave Seamen rock it out on the decks and finally meeting Swamper (Dell) after all this time and it was off to the side door to wait to be let in for our interview with Ferry. Beba, I'm sorry; I know you grabbed my arm and wanted to join us in the interview but it couldn't be done...you looked too cute too but sorry Metup with Margs, RJ, Nat (sneaky sneaky working Republik and booking it over to Ultra ), Karim, and saw a bunch of others pass on through the hallway while we were waiting. Then; they opened the door and there he is; dressed in a little white shirt calmly leaning against the wall beaming with the typical Ferry smile.

While waiting about 10 minutes for him to do a little quick media thing it was funny seeing backstage the Guv security hauling the completely fucked people out the back door...pretending they were ventriloquist dummies in the process...that was too funny.

Then it was into Ferry's dressing room for the interview. After spending about 45-50 minutes just literally chilling with Ferry, having him say some of the greatest things for this industry I've ever heard; it was time to...well, let him do his show but first...

But second; it was time for Part II of "The Picture". When Ferry saw this all he said was, "Oh my god, look at Armin! He's got such a baby face! LOOK AT HIS HAIR!! Hell, even Tijs looks young. I of course look awsome!" Karmin; here you go buddy

I txt'd/called iLLnaDa (Nada) back as she had called me mid-Ferry interview and I had to duck into a washroom to take the call. After meeting with Vertigo (Cale), DJ Celica, and Playa 24 it was off to Guv to claim our spot on the floor. The crowd was SURGING as we got in there finishing off to the end of Mark's set. He had the place going nuts; it was great. I pushed my way past everyone up to the front bar and met up with Nada and her boyfriend to chat it up (How about that dude who looked like he was going to kill us? That was creative). Then from underneath I heard the announcing... "Guvernment, to the man who needs absolutely NO introduction, please welcome, FERRY CORSTEN!"
Then my favorite shooter girl came by and 'forced me' to split a freezy with her. Awe she's so awsome...

After a few opening tracks I decided to save my life away from crazy psycho dude, who looked like he should have been in the hip-hop room stabbing someone or shooting something, I made my way back over to Kandaio and the crew. The crowd of asians were REDICULOUS. I have NEVER seen it that bad before. It usually takes me 3/4 to nearly the entire night before I get so fed up with their pushing that I just drop a shoulder into someones face; it took me about 20 minutes last night. It got so bad that we pushed our way up onto the stage as it was more open and you could actually move! Met backup with Beba, RJ, Preppie Chick, Starsearcher and his 'Lady in Red'... much room to breath up there. When "The Thrillseekers - Synaesthesia 2004 (Ferry Corsten remix)" finally hit I lost control jumping around like a freaking idiot...but I didn't care; that's what the music is there for; to make you lose control.

After a while Kandaio and I figured...ok, I figured and dragged his ass outside as it was too much of a suana in there. We metup with RJ and the others outside who had the same idea as we did. Cuzo was there too; good to see you back from Miami...asshat Then I heard it...the beginning to 'AutoManual'. However, there was no way that RJ, Kandaio, or myself were planning on moving as directly infront of use were two quite attractive young ladies; making-out like furious fiends. But then I heard the beginnin to 'Punk' and dragged RJ and Kandaio away from the slobbering lesbian-fest and back into the sweaty sauna that is the Guv. Went nuts for Punk and THEN.... "Lets ROCK...Lets ROCK...Lets ROCK...I WANNA ROCK YOUR BODY ROCK!" WOW, now that was AMAZING.

After realizing my legs were becoming jelly; we went up to VIP to lean against the wall. After about 30-40 minutes we were inside the DJ booth rocking out behind Ferry; seeing him behind the decks, doing his thing, with the crowd going WILD was an experience I'll never forget. Pounding down the Red Bull as I watched my watch tick past 8:00am without an end in sight (not like anyone wanted one). Jose came in and we knew things were going to calm down soon. Ferry ended his show and that was that....or not; "FERRY FERRY FERRY" the crowd screamed begging their superstar for just one more taste of bass. Well, of course he can't say no and threw one more down. He was shaking his head and playing with the horn just having a great time. Then it was over....BUT AGAIN it wasn't. He got on the mic stating that the Toronto crowd was TERRIBLE for not letting him leave and he played ONE FINAL tune for the night. Seeing Ferry lie down across his CD's in exhaustion shows how much work he puts into his sets and how great he is for the crowd.

Finally the night was over; I said my thank you's and goodbye's to Ferry, Jose, Mark, Theo and squinted my eyes as we headed into the sunlight and down the road.

After the ride home to London it was to return the car to the girlfriends place; apparently I didn't make it out of there though until 5-6 hrs later as I passed out hugging a stuffed animal on her bed. Ferry; you did this to me, you caused me to pass out, in my clothes, on a bed with a stuffed animal. You absolutely ruined me that night and I can't thank you enough.

To all the TA's I met; Thank you for a great night, I will see you all again soon.

AMAZING night. That is all....

EDIT - unfortunately the review didn't record properly; apparently the bass was too loud in the background, didn't record properly...SUCKS, but oh well.

Soooo good. I was absolutely loving the beats that Addy and Luke Chable laid down early in the Kool Haus. Didn't know I liked that dirty prog stuff Thrill Kill Kult - Days of Swine and Roses (D:Fuse & Mike Firatzka remix) was the BEST part of the KH last night. I think it was one of the last songs that Addy dropped, or one of the first of Luke Chables'... I don't remember.

Sooo good to see all of you TAs, first one of the night was MaxTO at the bar in KH, meeting for the 2nd time (first time was March 24, and I was llllloaded drunk). The rest of you TAs know who you are... Funny highlight: swilly and I were talking, and you know when you say something to someone you lean into their ear so they can hear you, well we both did this at the same time and smashed our faces into one another. Barry (DJ Ampz) could do nothing but laugh his ass off. Sorry man, hope you're not feelin' that today

Met so many others, chanoa (Andrea - nice to finally meet you! See you out all the time but we had never met prior to last night ), atrayn22 (Woooo FERRY! Great night man, so glad you and your girlfriend had a great time with all of us in Toronto!), beachgirl (TA is better than Tribe ), fayraree (Fahad - you may be a postwhore but you are fun as hell to party with man, hope to see you out more often!), oh god theres a few more I'm sure but I cannot remember. I'm sorry folks

Ferry.

Feeerrrry.

FERRRYYYYY!

Bomb after bomb after bomb after bomb after bomb. Such monstrous tunes, serious crowd pleasers! Let's see what I remember.

Ferry Corsten - It's Time (Ferry's Flashover remix)
Ferry Corsten - Right of Way
Ferry Corsten - Punk - holy shit folks.
Ferry Corsten - Rock Your Body Rock - I told you all he'd drop it right after Punk
Ernesto vs. Bastian - Dark Side of The Moon
BT - Force of Gravity (Ferry Corsten bootleg remix)
Solid Globe - Lost Cities
Fire & Ice - Para Siempre
FB feat. Edun - Who's Knocking
Rachael Starr - Till There Was You (G&D's 12 Step Program remix)
Ferry Corsten - Sublime
Ferry Corsten - I Love You
Ferry Corsten - Holding On (Ferry's Flashover remix)
Thrillseekers - Synaesthesia 2004 (Ferry Corsten remix)
Ferry Corsten - Star Traveller
Adagio For Strings (Ferry Corsten remix)
Marco V - Automanual
Ronski Speed - I.C. - I absolutely love this song and I'm SO glad he played it
Aven - All I Wanna Do (Ferry Corsten remix)
Ferry Corsten - Cubikated (I think)
Mac Zimms - Shock
Ferry Corsten - Sweet Sorrow (Thrillseekers remix)
Josh Gabriel - Alive
Ferry Corsten feat. Elles de Graaf - Show You My World
Gouryella - Tenshi
SYSTEM F - OUT OF THE BLUE. My absolute favourite song. I lost it at this point.

Could've sworn he played LSG - Netherworld 2005...?

Anyway, absolutely mindblowing, that's why Ferry is my favourite.

Cheers folks.

Smiley DJ RTT & Dj_Baby_Tenshi's review of the nite

WOW!!!!...we got there at the Guv to see that there wasn't a huge line up.. PHEW! to our luck we were able to get hooked up w/ reduced guestlist (tnx guys)... got in and the place was already jammin' !!Addy started off the nite pretty good.. the security was all over the place like hungry little sharks waiting fer their bait...but i'm glad there wasn't any fights or that kinda stuff throughout the whole night...we were kinda disappointed that the meetin spot for the TOTA's were blocked off but were able to meet alot of TOTA's and tnx fer all the welcomin greetings and great to finally match some faces to "board names"...too bad we couldn't chill longer that night tho... i guess we made it around the whole complex about 2 times but really didn't stick around to catch Mark Olivers or Ferry's set... it was wayyyyy to packed in there and the muzik was kinda to my disappointment.. although on the flip side, the KoolHaus was amazing!!! great vibes and tunes so we stayed there most of the night... although the muzik was sooo loud, our ears are still ringing from last night! All of the dj's played an amazing set! but my 2 highlight sets were def. Josh Gabriels & Greyarea for rockin tha night! it totally made my night!!! also a big shout out to Dave (from Greyarea) for a fun night of dancin and chillin out! so very nice to meet u! We hope to meet up w/ more TOTA's in the next parties to come and also hope to see the Dj's back again to rock tha show!

Cheers, Keika & Rob

P.S. here is a link to 130+ pics from last night...enjoy!!!

I got in around 12. Thanks for the hookup John!! Found the TA area and settled in for Luke Chable's set. Didn't quite know what to expect from him but I really enjoyed his set. Too bad he was on for only an hour. Then Dave Seaman came on and just kicked my ass all over the dance floor. I love his sets, he spins prog just the way I like it. The remix of that Gwen Stefani track was awesome.

Grayarea was on next but I stayed for only 2-3 tracks. Didn't like the vocals and the sound was distorted and gave me a headache. So off I went to guv to catch some of Ferry's set. Friggin hot in there but that's to be expected of course. After a while I went to the drink to check out Harry Romero and he has tearing shit up there.

Got back to KH at 4:30 for Josh Gabriel. Another good set but I didn't like that techy remix of Beautiful things. I wanted to hear the G&D remix so bad, maybe he played it before I got back to KH. After he was done I stayed for a bit of Brad Copeland but went back to guv where I spent the rest of the night.

Ferry was consistent as always. From about 6-7 his set started to sound a bit monotonous so I took the opportunity to chill on the patio with some TAs. Towards the end of the night the energy picked up and Ferry started to drop a bunch of classics. The place was going nuts!! He went off the decks around 8:30 and left us all wanting more.

The only complaint I have is about the sound in KH. My poor ears couldn't take much more. Then came goodnet to the rescue!! Thanks so much for giving me your extra set of earplugs. Big up to all the TAs I met throughout the night. You guys are awesome! Shoutouts to the TAs I met for the first time: walkindude, shanny, fayraree & feems. Nice to finally meet you guys!

Until next time...

Wow. I'm so glad that I stayed the entire night.

Due to some friends skipping out on me and since I said I'd commit seppuku if I didn't go, I go on the bloody bus and arrived way too early. I was like one of the first 20 inside the KH.

Anyways, stayed a while to listen to Addy. Decent house tunes, but their mixing needed working.
Found Barry (Ampz) and rest of the KWTA crew. Listened to Luke Chable during the TA meet and I had no idea what he played, but it was some fun sounds. (I was that quite asian guy with shades with green glowsticks in a necklace) Next time, I will introduce myself as 'GOBAR, Supreme Ruler of the Universe'. Listened to Dave Seaman for a bit, then headed off to Guv to see my hero Ferry.

Well, I didn't want to play the 'human sardine' game, so I found a somewhat secluded spot to hear the set. Except for few ok tunes and one good one, first 3 hrs were... eh. It's like he's playing a vocal trance tune (and quite shitty ones IMO) every third tune or so. I had a massive headache and I wasn't into the set mostly, so I thought of taking off early, but then I knew that Ferry would redeem himself.

There was a bit of room after the 4th hour, so I joined some of the TAs and it was ferry hitting his trademark tunes and then going into some tech trance ish tunes, then back to trance, then more tech trance ish tunes again. But then it got pretty damn good.

Because I can't believe he played Gouryella - Tenshi. One of my life time wish is to hear Ferry dropping it and I was in a state of bliss. (If you got Ferry to play it, Kandaio, thanks a lot)
Then Ferry dropped System F - Out of the Blue as the second encore and I think he heard Vertigo chant it out. LOL

Other tunes that I recognized that others haven't listed yet.
-Realm F vs Rankey - Nairobi (Alex MORPH remix)
-Moonman - Galaxia
-System F - Insolation (old ferry tune with breaks beat, may be a remake)

It's good to party with familiar TAs. Wish I wasn't so shy and enforce my presence to others. Missed meeting Coup and Jamie which is something I really regret.

Until next time.

Rate: 8/10 (Don't like sardine game and KH acts didn't do much for me. Also, the subs were way too loud. I had ear plugs on and the subs were so heavy that I had trouble breathing sometimes)
Tune of the night: Gouryella - Tenshi

Just checked out Grayarea's website ( http://www.graylabel.net/ ) and found out they're playing at the HFStival in Baltimore (a concert i'm very tempted to go to), and ALSO at Buzz the night b4. This may solidify the deal...

http://www.hfstival.com/lineup

the dance tent will have mostly DnB acts.
