Basicly ... whatever a computer can do, this can do. Just have to find the Palm OS apps and load it in.
So many friends I know who bought the Motorola V3 has sold it soon after. The price you pay for a slim phone ... it's not really worth it. Why pay 600+ for just a phone without PDA functions?
The Sony Ericsoon P910i is amazing also.
BTW FIdo has UNLIMITED DATA for $50.00 a month. Download as much you can, keep MSN programs running and surf the web as much as you want on your PDA/Phone unit.
I turned on Verichat 13x, each time stayed on for 30 secs and msged 3 ppl ... appearntly I used 509K and without a data plan, this came upto $26.00.
Here's the Palm Treo 650 ... this is even more powerful.
I hope to get this sucker in Sept when the price goes down and when all the bugs are fixed.

EDGE/GPRS is what basically gives your cell phone internet capabilities e-mail/web browsing etc. 3g refers to the next generation of standards, for GSM networks that means a migration to W-CDMA and for CDMA networks a migration to CDMA2000. With 3g standards carriers hope to provide users with data rates of up to 2Mbps |

so anyone knows when there is a 3G network comming to canada? or is there? and as for possible 3g here, are you going with the wcdma or the cdma2000 or both?

I'm with ROGERS right now and my 6 months free local calling is gona expire in a few days.
Isn't there a service provider that allows free local calling anymore?
I should have signed up with FIDO when they had the CITYFIDO plan where you have unlimited local calling.
Can anyone help?
Embarassing.

The announcement came the same week that the country's biggest wireless carriers revealed they will introduce portable wireless numbers in 2007, longer than some industry players and observers expected.

Virgin's Branson calls Canada's delay on number portability 'unacceptable'
Canadian Press
Friday, September 16, 2005
TORONTO - The founder of Virgin Mobile Canada has criticized the two-year delay on cellphone number portability as "unacceptable."
The comments by Richard Branson, who is also chairman of the British-based Virgin Group, came three days after the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association said it will be two years before cellphone users are able to keep their phone number when switching service providers.
The association said Monday that the country's major wireless carriers - Bell Mobility, Rogers Wireless and Telus Mobility - plan to jointly introduce number portability in September 2007, following a short service trial.
Branson said Friday he was on a personal mission to ensure that cellphone users can take their numbers with them if they switch carriers sooner than 2007.
"I'm here today to tell you that Virgin Mobile isn't prepared to accept the CWTA announcement on number portability . . . the 2007 timeframe is too slow and completely unacceptable," he told a media conference in Toronto.
"This is an important issue that affects some 15 million mobile customers in Canada. They've been asking and waiting for number portability for years and it's time the mobile industry delivered."
Branson, whose Canadian subsidiary is competing aggressively with its bigger rivals in the cutthroat cellphone business, said he will send a letter to Prime Minister Paul Martin on the issue.
again while the rest of the world moves forward.. Canada decides to take its sweet ass time !!
This is going to fuck me over when I switch to Rogers/Fido in January.
why?!!?!?!?
