to the Williams sisters now!
FUCK! I missed being able to watch the match! DAMMIT!!!
But no surprise, Justine KILLED Kim.
Shes just too great against Clijsters!
6-3, 6-2.
I love that score! I'm alwasy impressed with Henin, esp agaist Clijsters!
But god, do I wish I could have seen that match!
I'm a littel bummed out that crumbled in the 2nd set, and couldnt beat out Kuznetsova...
I REALLY wanted to see Vaidisova vs. Henin
I dont think Kuzetsova has anything to offer against Justine, she'll go down in straight sets I predict. I hope I'm not wrong.
Im not coming down to TO till Saturday nigth now because I dont wanna fucking miss the womens finals on Saturday morning!
It's ON AGAIN!
Bc of going away for DEMF in Detroit and then still feeling zonked and bojangled and tired still on Wednesday which had off work, I havent had a chance yet to catch any of the games.
Hopefully gonna make up for that starting Saturday (since all the games air starting at 9am is seems! ARG! Damn work)
Who else has been watching?
I need to catch up on whos made it through , and what upsets have been seen so far.
Caught some quick headlines in todays papers, think I saw that Hewitt, Federer, Nadal, Sharapova are all still in.
SHARAPOVA BABY!!!!

| Originally posted by Jem_hadar Well ladies and gents, its that time again... in fact, its more than 1/2 over now ![]() Im a little late on this one, hehehehe. Discuss. My personal favourite for womens: Justine Henin-Hardenne, my FAVOURITE womens tennis player. Shes going up against my 2nd favourite player, Maria Sharapova tommorrow in a quater-finals match, so thats gonna be UBER INTENSE! Im taping it, since it comes on at 10am and I'll unfortunately be at work and simply cant be home! Cant freaking wait! On the mens side... Federer OF COURSE... (tho I can think of others Id rather have take the title, but Fed is simply UNSTOPABLE! )~Jem~ |

| Justine Henin beat Jelena Jankovic 6-2, 6-2 in the other semifinal. The Belgian will become the first woman to win three consecutive titles at Roland Garros since Monica Seles in 1990-92 if she defeats Ivanovic on Saturday. Jankovic rallied midway through the second set, and Henin had to save a break point before moving ahead 5-2. Jankovic double-faulted to go 15-40 down on her serve and give Henin two match points. She won at the first attempt when Jankovic's forehand sailed long. Henin clenched her fist and blew a kiss to the crowd. |
This is gonna make her win on Sunday even easier!!

), so ya, its hard for me really to comment intelligently on henin's chances to win given i havent been able to catch ANY jankovics matches this fort night. and cant say for myself how i think jankovic's game is looking and how well she is playing from first hand exposure.
looks like a roger and rafa final............ roger came through easier than i thought he would!!! should be a cracker of a final!!

I have watched most of the matches, |
So fucking Rafa won! Jesus.
The universe was kind to me and allowed that I was able to watch the mens final even though I was in the city... i was kinda worried about this before leaving, till it hit me in the club, that footwork will totally close before 9am and therefore i can just wake up super early to watch the open at bakis
anyways, FAN-fucking-TASTIC match. It was chalk full of insane plays, shots, maneuvers, etc.
Wow. What tennis.
I was highly disappointed to see Fed lose *again* though. I really wanted to see him finally pull through on this day and finally claim this title.
But Nadal was just too good. jesus.
What a match.
amazing match, Nadal just owns clay courts, no matter how good Federer is in every other aspect, clay and Nadal is his Kryptonite. Federer messed up quite a bit too, missing all those drop shots and some of his forehand shots.

Women: Henin is the Queen of clay.
Men: Nadal is the King of clay.
Fuck it hurt to watch Roger lose again to Nadal, but what can you do?
Nadal is just too fuckin good on the dirt. Well-deserving champion, and gracious.
Nothing but respect for him and Henin
On to Wimbledon

I really expected Federer to pull through and take the win this year from Nadal. I haven't had a chance to watch the match yet but from what I've read it was a relatively ugly game from both players (though they're ugly games are levels above everyone else). Federer will win the French eventually though, he's too good not to win it and he'll be around atleast through the 2012 Olympics so he can throw a few Olympic Golds to his other Grand Slams (Now imagine if he wins the AO, FO, Wimbeldon, USO & Olympic Gold in one year
)
On to Wimbeldon we go though...
