well i went to get my licence renewed and they cut my old one up, gave me a peice of paper and said i would have it in 2-3 weeks,
sooooo i need to find a place where i can get valid id for the clubs!

Well I haven't been out for a show in a while so I was extrememly pumped for last night's outing.
When I got to Tantra the place was starting to fill up and Cary Chang did a good job of warming up the place as usual. Lot's of cowboys but overall the crowd was a pretty good mix. Saw two girls duke it out during Nick Warren's set which made the night that much more entertaining.
I moved up to the front when James hit the decks and man this guy does not disappoint. He was so entertaining to watch as he tweaked, sampled, looped, and scratched for the entire time. I could tell he was having a blast. He was smiling all night and had awesome interaction with the crowd. I really wish I was more of a trainspotter so I could tell you what tracks he dropped but I can tell you that he weaves his way through many different styles in a set from breaks, electro, and progressive house. I'm all about the dirty bass lines and chunky synths and there was plenty of it last night.
I think there were quite a few people there who had absolutely no clue as to how good this guy is. If he's in your city, CHECK HIM OUT! It was kinda weird to have Nick Warren come on afterwards for me anyways. The guy is a legend but in some ways I think James is a tough act to follow because he does not only spin records.
Either way, Nick had a good set that was true to his progressive style.
this was the second time seeing zabiela for me and he didn't disappoint definately one of my favs, wish i could've stayed for nick warrens set but had to work early

Zabs was luvin it... great photo ops with him; you know when he starts the set with robophobia.. it's only going to get better! I was right at the front and made friends with a cool girl who took a few pics for me from her elevation (she musta been 5'11 easy).
Nick MMHMMM I'll try not to go on here... but I knew 90% of the songs he threw down, but only coz i'm informed where he's concerned. Got a wicked picture of us together which is my favourite!!
Tantra - fucking awesome venue! I'm not sure how many people it holds but the place was absolutely rawkin all the way to the back and up the stairs. I will definitely make it back there for future shows when it's deserving. The resident dj there was pretty good, but I didn't like how his set seemed to go on FOREVER! Maybe it's because I was excited for the things to come. Babes everywhere in the place! I was shakin it for a solid 3 hours i'd say. See all you crazy ones soon!!
