I had the tech cd deck and got to like the pioneers when I first used them at a party a few weeks ago. So I was thinking of buying the pioneer's instead. Yeah since I got to use them before I walked into guitar center and told the guy I'd buy them if he could match a price I got from sam ash... he did so I bought them

don't quote me on this, but i don't think the brand name is the issue if the power surge happened and you left your players pluged in.

gotta suck either way. rule of thumb if power goes off, unplug your eletronics, this ensures that when power comes back on it won't ruin your equipment. sorry to hear about your loss. by the way if you don't mind how much did you pay for each (you mentioned the sales guy matched a price)?

Yeah I wish they would have told me before plugging the power back in. I didnt realize what happened until the guy came up to me and apologized for tripping over the wire, heh.

I got the decks for $919.99/ea

shouldn't the club be liable for that then? and they should replace your equipment? i think it's a strech, but then again you never know.

that's an awesome price, thx

I only wish it was a club gig as I would have had them replace it... luckily everytime I went to a club I didnt have to bring anything... nah, this was more or less a big house party and I was doing my friend a favor by providing the music.

Heh, nah it wasnt like that... I had experience with them before but this was the first time I really got to use them in a club and for a long time. I used the dennon for a little bit and found it wasnt for me. Had the tech's for over a year and after using the pioneer's in a full set they immediately changed my mind.
