"House Music is not some serious production, it doesn't have to be planned, it's how you feel it. When you wanna say something, you say it" - Juan Magan & Cesar Del Rio - Midnight Rumours
I listen to everything, I like to keep thing's open-minded but Trance, sadly, is the last thing I want to hear.

That's what I love about House/EDM music is that it's not mainstream, it's underground, dark and dirty the people that are going to Guv/System/Boa etc. are there because they have passion. The day House goes completely mainstream is the day I hang up my dancing shoes.

I despise house. There are maybe 2 house tracks i can 'barely' listen to without wanting to hang myself but that's it. I'm 100% trancehead

Posted by loconet on Jun-17-2005 21:14:

I'm not a big fan of House and although I respect its place in EDMs history as well as the few house tracks that I do enjoy, House does not have the same effect on me as Trance does.

Drugs aside, Trance is more than just music. Trance is a journey into your own imagination. A journey for your mind and soul. A journey with scenery ranging from warm beautiful sunsets/sunrises in some remote beach with white sand and clear blue water, to high snowed mountains somewhere in New Zealand, resembling a scene from Lord of the Rings, to a massive party filled with lasers and over 40,000 people dancing to the sounds being dropped by their favorite DJs while they all celebrate life to its fullest. Only to Trance have I seen people go mental when they recognize a track they love be dropped. Only to Trance have I seen people try extra hard to make sure their friends are around to share the moment when the track they love is played. Few other genres of music have the power of submerging you into a journey that will have you experiencing the whole rainbow of human emotions. You will feel euphoric, sad, loved, happy, energetic, horny, anxious, chilled, and even inspire some people to do better work!. Classical music has the same properties but it has lost touch with the younger generations. Trance stimulates those emotions as Classical once did but in a modern language. I dont know whats in the music I dont if its the Dutch flavored synths or the deep bass or the beautiful piano piece or one of my favorites, the Spanish guitar, but I do know that I am thankful for having found this wonderful music that makes me feel alive.
