sucks about the sound. i remember when dumonde played at kool haus back a few months ago, i had trouble getting completely into there set for that reason. the eq in kool haus didn't seem balanced properly with the room accousitics and was killing vibe. sucks, cause the sound quality is that factor that will make you lose it when your favorite songs come on.
didnt tech head say that tiesto went in himself to do a sound check?
Honestly...I hardly enjoyed that at all!!
the half decent sound that existed was on the main stage dance floor, but to try and dance in there without being squeeshed on all four sides is an impossibility!
There was plenty of room outside but the sound quality at those points is analogous to hearing some poorly modded CRX driving by blasting a random song with lots of bass.
Although everything else about the night was pretty good, the fact that I just couldn't HEAR the music marks this party as a write-off in my book!
Never, ever am I going to the docks for some over hyped event...I'd much rather be in main room of guv.
Tiesto was good...but goddamn it was just too hot and packed in there. I can't fucking take the jamming of people in clubs anymore! I will pay 100 dollars to see Tiesto with two feet of space on all four sides of me! I couldn't stay inside for any length of time until about 4 when my oral injection of fun started to take effect.
From then I just stayed up at the front and did not stop moving...even after Tiesto abruptly (or at least it seemed to me) ended his set with Universal Nation after throwing in some of his older tunes earlier on. Lots of stuff from ISOS4 but I did not hear my favourite track off the album...Steve May Blend Forty? Was I outside for that?
I've said this before (and many of you have as well) but seeing Tiesto is getting to be less and less about the music and more hype. Was it just me or was half the place full of fake fans? And the pushing was insane...maybe it's just getting to me more these days but it's hard to fully enjoy a Tiesto party with all the other elements mixed in.
I think I enjoyed the set in December better because I think Tiesto himself was into it more. He just waved and left? Boo. Still, he's a fun Dj to experience live time and again. The guy who picked up after him did a really good job too.
Oh and yeah you guys are right about the sound. It was really quiet for a club that boasts the way they do about their system.

I'm surprised Danny D didn't mention what genre of Music Tiesto was blasting out because Neo Cortex is Trance, we all know that so I mean I guess he just really couldn't find a discription that was well suited
.
Didn't go, not old enough to go and frankly wouldn't have gone anyhow. Maybe it's just me but it seems that the same people who complain about him having no transition or vibe through songs are also the ones who praise him for playing songs he has played in every possible remix or dub for the past 5 years. Not saying there is anything wrong with that, just saying it's being kind of hypocritical.
Hope everyone had a blast but if there is one thing I hope for, it's that when Armin comes knowone gives a shit except TA's.

the front was no good (I was there) and so was the back and upstairs...in the middle (the sweet spot - right between the speakers) was PERFECT!

BRAVO ! BRAVO ! BRAVO !
This was my 10th time seeing Tiesto, and IMHO this set was the best of them all ! 5.5 hours of the most incredible music ! No words can describe it - you had to be there ! I'm still in somewhat of a shock from this set. I never expected it to be that good !
It's weird: I got to the party around 12:45, about 5 minutes after Tiesto started his set. As I was walking through the masses and onto the patio I thought right then that we are in for Tiesto's best performance. And indeed it was !
Some highlights from the set included hearing Woz not Woz track that Lawler played at Skybar and Guv 2 weeks earlier, and a bunch of really great unknown Trancy tunes.
I really enjoyed the party itself as well. The crowd was HYPED ! Every 10 minutes people would either chant Tiesto's name, start clapping to the beat, or jump like crazy ! It was unbelievable. Almost like Bal en Blanc.

By the way I'd like to say hello to everyone I met yesterday, you guys were great...and all the new TAs...Walter Mindz, Spyder...and more (I'm sorry if I'm forgetting anyone)
Too bad didn't get to meet halo20
I thought it was an amazing set! I totally agree with everyone else here who said it just wasn't loud enough ..my ears didn't even ring afterwards and I even pointed that out to my guy on the way home. I'll upload a bunch of pics and clips later. Since my guy isn't into trance too much we avoided downstairs for a good chunk of it and headed upstairs. Gave a good vantage point for the clips though!
great time

+1 on the sound being shit. i was standing right in front of the speakers and they weren't even moving air. there was absolutely no kick at all. you hear people saying how great the party was, but imagine how much better it would of been if they had the speakers fixed.
Wow...all I can say is that was an amazingly hard set!!!
Tiesto was on top of his game. That party will be so memorable not only because of the music, but because of the TA's. All of you guys and gals are great.
My only complaints last night were that the sound system seemed to be performing at a sub par rate. Was I dreaming or was there massive distortion and volume problems?
Also it was rammed pack in the main room, so I had to chill on the patio for most of the night. It took away from some of the experience, but me Dan, Jamie, Karim and others were tearing it up outside on the small oval dancefloor.
Damn what a fucking good night!

Fucking AMAZING....... For me this party killed the one from back in December.
I've been lsitening to In Search Of Sunrise 4 for the last two weeks. And when he played Jasefos feat Claire Van Der Boom - Do What U Want (Max Graham I was completly mesmerized!
The only complaint I have is towards the DJ booth. I think he should of been standing a bit higher so if you wanted to take a picture of him, You would get more then just his for haed.
This was the fift time I have seem Tiesto and I have never heard him put a set together as amazing as this one was!
I never expected to see no many people that I have meet from past parties. It was really nice seeing you all again! Plus I met alot more people at this party aswell much was cool.
Well thats it for now, I think I might head to the beach or something instead of staying in the house..... Dam it's so HOT out to.
Oh ya the girls were Gorgeous!!
I Took about 70 pictures and since I have no idea how to post then on here, I'll send then to anyone over msn...... [email protected]
