i'd suggest that you not use a fake id, but instead, use a real id, that you can borrow from a friend. i tend to notice that fakes get taken away, but when its a real id, it won't matter if the faces match. [/QUOTE]

Yea man your right But HOW In THE WORLD WILL THEY KNOW ITS a FAKE its SCHOOL ID for 18 officallll they cant tell me look thats fake you knoww but ima bring 2 ids and im gonna see whats gonna happen thanks for the info though

clubs don't take school id's. doesn't matter if your b-day is on the card.... i am almost 100% sure of this.

i've had friends who have real (and i stress real) international student id cards and are of age who've been turned down. most likely if you already have a ticket it'll be fine, but i wouldn't want to take any chances if i were you.

I'm possibly going to be in New York towards the end of this year for a few days, so I might try and attend this. Does anyone have any hotels to recommend? There aren't many listed in the 'visitors thread' in the sticky at the top.

The better question is how much you want to spend per night.

you go to NY???? that is pretty cool. as for hotels, they arent very cheap in NY, but you have the 's . hotel penn is pretty decent sort of.

there are better ones that are more affordable. you want to stay away from the "scene" areas, well pretty much all of manhattan is a scene, but i'd highly suggest something on the upper west side if you don't mind taking the subway, or in midtown right below central park south. you want to stay clear from times square and the village (noho, soho, seho, nolita, etc) There are some hotels right above times sq, like in the 50s (i think novotel is one). How long are you planning to stay? Maybe I can sublet my apartment to you, but we'll need to talk about that first! lols

Yea me and a friend from work, (and hopefully my girlfriend) have been planning to come nearer the end of the year, just for a few days. But it would great if I could tie this trip in with this event.

Yea we're not particularly looking for anything classy, as we will mostly be out a lot of the time. Just looking for somewhere to keep our stuff and sleep. That's about it really, so nothing too flash.

Ordered my ticket already. This will be good but hopefully better tunes selected than Summerstage. Last time to Roxy for me was Steve Lawler and Danny Tenaglia. Left right after Tenaglia came on for 30 minutes since I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer.

I haven't seen PVD at Roxy before so that's definitely a bonus, especially after reading a lot of comments on here.

It does remind me of a big skating rink.

I guess I'm clueless then, I've only been there once and didn't actually pay attention to what it really was. lol

Posted by pvd420 on Sep-15-2005 22:32:

PVD at roxy just works....there was only one show there that i didnt like (the april 03 one). other than that i have had great times for all of his shows there.

between the lasers and the atmosphere that place and paul is always a fun time.
