^i wouldnt cream myself for that...but than have YOJI blast in from nowhere at 9am-noon...
Isn't this oakenfold thing just a rumour....I've at least been assuming it was. If its not thats just ghey.

Krinker mentioned that he was booked elsewhere for NYE, and that the promoters just spread that rumour to create hype.

So ya, I say we hope for at least 1 big name and some local talent since they'll prolly put on a killer show.

Fuck trance. Last years Celebration was house all the way.

It rocked.

Posted by antz66 on Sep-25-2005 03:03:

seriously hope its house too

Posted by Alex on Sep-25-2005 03:27:

Eeeesh Shawn man it's not like im against a house party or anything!

But if it was gonna be house, who is there to book I wonder? If two of the huge names are spinning @ Aria?

I hope whatever the genre, this event will happen and happen big.

Posted by antz66 on Sep-25-2005 03:29:

i think it will happen and there gonna need some big names to attract a big crowd like last year so hopefully the line up is wicked even if it is oakenfold atleast alot of ppl will come

Posted by shawn05 on Sep-25-2005 19:00:

Theres no doubt. Its going to happen.

Posted by antz66 on Sep-25-2005 19:08:

but i heard 514 mite not even be part of it which would be stupid i think the name 514 productions do help the party alot since there a well known group

We all know that celebration is proghouse and progtrance sometimes. Don't expect techno or electro.

Why for Oakenfold? Do you actually enjoy his mixing/tracklisting?

Posted by ohyeah again on Sep-27-2005 19:56:

almost 80% of the people who go there, don't care who is mixing,so no mathers who's playing, they will be there to do a e-pit all night and also just partying, have fun. You don't really go to cream or celebration to listen the dj carefully as if you go behind the aria dj booth.

even if,oakenfold is playing with local dj's,it can be a succes anyways, its a place to party no analyst djs, mixing and all that crap at a new years eve party.

Posted by Marcus007 on Sep-27-2005 20:19:

Either way I don't find dancing to some 99 uber "put-your-hands-up-in-the-air" mega trance my idea of a good new years eve. Oakenfold is pathetic. It's a fact.

Posted by Biggy on Sep-27-2005 20:20:

no analyst djs, mixing and all that crap ???

This is crap for you?

Well, can you explain to me the huge difference in numbers between 2004 and 2005 if it's not because of the dj's?

Why 2000 people more in 2005?

Posted by KrinKer on Sep-27-2005 20:28:

actually

I might try to answer that

there's is a big portion of the attendance getting better that has to be accredited to the fact that it was one hell of a solid line-up. Another fact was that there hadn't been a big party in month ( if i remeber correctly bal en blanc was in the middle of april so it ment 5 months without a huge party. Another aspect was that Bal en Blanc was SOOOOO good that year that it was talked about for many many many many people and when another huge event got slated, everybody wanted to go.

So i Do think that there will be some similiarities with celebration, although i have to say that if the line-up isn't good, well it won't be a huge event like it is suposed to be !

I also have to add that the fact that Oakie will most likely be playing early ( if he's really scheduled to play) will hurt 514 a LOT !!! People will go out in bar before they go to celebration. Hence, if the "headliner" plays early, people won't turn to see him, and people who would have bought their ticket to see him, won't buy tickets. I know it's a longshot..

Errr... what about CREAM 2005? I heard that was a HUGE success.

Posted by LiGHT78 on Sep-27-2005 20:49:

I wonder when the hell they're planning on making some official announcements already! The suspense is killing me.
