i actually started looking deeper into EDM after hearing Yakooza - Cocaine (so embarrasing its not funny )

but the 2 tracks that got my addicted to proper EDM was Push - Strange World (2000 Remake) and M.I.K.E. - Sunrise At Palamos

Dance 2 Trance - We Came In Peace
For trance.
EDM in general though was Massive Attack - Unfinished Sympathy. Always loved MA stuff.

Their was a few... but i think the most significant was:
Be Liquid - Melt

Posted by jono4L on Oct-01-2005 15:44:

robert miles - children and da rude - sandstorm were big ones.

It was the guy at Ally Tunes when i went in to chase up any robert miles CD's i could who told me not to be silly and turned my attention to cosmic baby.

A Guy Called Gerald - Voodoo Ray
Polygon Window - Surfing on Sine Waves
808 State - Pacific (whichever)

...got me interested in EDM.

Union Jack - Cactus (on Carl Cox's original FACT CD) was the "moment" for trance for me.

BIG TUNE

that made me think of another

Jark Prongo - Movin' Thru Your System

i think i would do almost anything to get that on vinyl!!!

yeah i second that, i have been looking around for Krystal - Burning Flame and i would do anything to get my hands on a vinyl copy it is still one of my favourite tunes.

Posted by Teflon_Teapot on Oct-13-2005 05:19:

i think i am going to get myself a cdj just so i can get my grubby little hands on tracks that are impossible to get on vinyl but are available on cd. hmmmm so tempting.

2 Unlimited - No Limit or something from that era.
And then things started to move along from there. Then there was:
Hocus Pocus - Here's Johnny
N-Trance - Set you Free
Baby D - Let me be your Fantasy
Josh Wink - higher State of Consciousness
Real McCoy - Another Night
Jam & Spoon - Right In the Night (<--- one of my all time favs)
Pendulum - Coma.
It's hard to define one track. But that was the start.

Seeing the advert for Gatecrashers Disctech CD during a Video - Hits commercial break.

The sound of Barbers Adagio for Strings into Skip Raiders - Another day blew me away!
