Uhhh... 2000?

And you seem to be pretty bored when the Yankees lose because you don't say anything unless they're in first place.

I realized it didn't afterwards. Oh well... but it still is relevant to this thread.

pisses me off how the red sox were up 4-2 and graffanino let that ball go through his legs... nice move... maybe the boston boys will do good at home and make it come down to a game 5 like they did w/ oakland 2 years ago... but i forget if they played game 5 on the road... either way, they won 3 in a row, so maybe they can pull it off...

hopefully the yankees get beat tonight and the red sox play the angels in the alcs but i highly doubt that's gonna happen...

i say the cardinals are gonna end up winning the whole thing... we'll see though

Graffanino didn't give up the 3-run Home Run, did he?

Yanks vs. Angels, Game 2:
E-Rod's Gold Glove MVP-candidate defense helps the Angels tie the game...
followed up by great baserunning - but that really was a great pitch-out play that the Angels executed to catch him stealing

After that, the rally monkeys helped the Angels hit/bunt 3 high choppers in a row, leading up to the go-ahead runs

K-Rod gets A-Rod to ground out to end the game
Series tied, 1-1

Those 3 errors lost the game for the Yankees.

He looked great last night, again!

Red Sox have come back from these deficits:
0-2 to Indians in 1999 ALDS
0-2 to A's in 2003 ALDS
0-3 to Yankees in 2004 ALCS

Will they do it again?

Posted by TranceHater on Oct-06-2005 15:06:

they also had PEDRO then lowe and a better bullpen. Last year schilling was a stud at this point he only pitches well against the yanks, foulke was better than rivera last postseaon, this year I would be shocked.

If those errors that preceded him didnt happen, that home run probably would have never happened.

The errors that Cano and Arod made have NOTHING to do with the fact that Leiter gave up a meatball to Molina in a DIFFERENT INNING

Tell me how that is? Those errors cost outs, which means, if those 2 hitters had been out... hed be facing the batter 2 spots ahead of him, which also means different pitches thrown.

Secondly, it was a pitch low and inside, a really shitty pitch, but Molina went after it. Most batters would take that pitch, but Molina took it out.

It was the only hit he gave up in that 1 inning he was in and at that point they were already down 4-2. Face the facts, he didnt loose the game for them, the error's did.

It doesn't take away the fact that Leiter is ineffective.

Fine he sucks, but we need to make do and be hopeful.

It's a play on the word, the two ee's are suposed to be eyes, perhaps you didn't get that...anyway, in a thread talking about how smart Yankee fans are, you should use proper grammar, you being a Yankee fan, representing Yankee fans and how smart they are...dipshit.

Back to baseball...

I guess the trend is now young GMs, started by the Red Sox. The new Rangers GM is 28. And I think the new Devil Rays GM will be young as well.

Giambi and Griffey comeback players of year, Go Giambi keep taking the GH.

Griffey certainly deserved it over Todd Jones and Cliff Floyd. But there's no way Giambi should've gotten it over Richie Sexson.

Giambi has been hitting well, although his throw to home against the sox last weekend was way off.....he could have made it if he was more flexible...

As far as the postseason being boring....it's baseball it can be boring. I only care about the redsox winning and the yankees losing, i could give 2 shits about the national league.

I don't know if the redsox can pull it off, Dom is right, our pitching sucks, I've been saying that all year, why they traded Lowe is beyond me....he was their best pitcher last year in the post season. Although he wasn't that effective during the summer, but, he was a closer in the past so that could have come in handy now that Foulke's out....Trancehater knows what he's talking about, he used to play baseball..
