Schevchenko playing in the WC = (for anyone other than Ukraine)

Watch Ukraine surprise a lot of teams come summertime

As for some others:

Germany - Home team has huge advantage, they will go far

Brazil - Big offence, no defence...what Sahand said, the counter attack will hurt them. But they have ronaldinho ( man this guy reminds me of Pele when he plays)

Italy - Good team, no balls. Go up the field and score 2 or 3 times.(I'm Italian btw). Watch for the younger players to shine

England - Paper-wise nice team. Choke is a factor

Netherlands - Has had the team to do but internal problems have stoped them thus far. Set those aside and 2006 could be theirs.

Yeah, Croatia is always good game too bad that fucktard Olof Mellberg took the ball with his hand this time, think we could have won otherwise

Anyway, we didn't have Zlatan then, and it seems like the team is all shit when he cant save us hehe

the Love PArade and the finals will be held on the same weekend in Berlin .. which is the July 8-9-10 i believe ..

as for tickets, nope .. it's next to impossible. it's like a lottery and u can only get them online and each ticket is assigned to a passport # .. so i don't think u can buy them from scalpers or anywhere else

Apply for citizenship in Ghana or something? That makes it a lot easier to get tickets

I'm going to try to get tickets to the swedish games, but yeah it's next to impossible, they only give like 5000 tickets per game we play to swedish ppl, and it's probably gonna be like 500 000 applying for those...

then i suggest you read the posts in this here cuz i can assure you that the world cup is not going to germany ...kahn is old and ballack is definately going to get himself suspended at some crucial point of the campaign (it took a penalty for germany to beat china at home in todays friendly)

england beat polan 2-1 to win the group meaning they gonna get a good seeding and avoid teams like brazil and italy which is a relief

spain winning 6-0 ... holy shit i hope they play like this next year ... such a talented side with nothing to show for it ... torres scored a hat trick making that 5 goals in 2 games for him ... sadly i can see him in a chelsea uniform next season

Posted by TRANCEEEE on Oct-12-2005 21:31:

um

i need to say this ...

aahahahha to greece ...

6-0 against san marino isnt really much to brag about, I mean San Marina have a smaller population than Stratford, Ontario

+1, but in all honesty they could have scored 30 if it would have made a difference.

Congrats to Serbia (to any Serbs here), your consistency was enough in the end for 1st place.

As do the Germans and Argentines.
And the the Italians have an INCREDIBLY tuff league as well.

So thats DEFINITELY NOT the reason England doesnt win anything.

Bro, FA Premiership is the toughest league on the planet. Italian/Argentinian/Spanish leagues are all about technical skills. FA Premiership is played by all strategical set pieces that each manager makes up. I'm sure when you play for a club like Arsenal/Man Utd., your not just entitled for beign there and making loads of money. If you have the skills, that's a advantage for you but I'm aware that you do have to manage in your memory set pieces that you practice before games. On top of that, FA Premiership is the fastest leauge played as well. Bundesliga is a more controversial league. Latin leagues are a bit more relaxed, where there's nothing wrong with it but you can't compare them to FA Premiership

fuck fuck fuck....poland lost to england 2-1 in a very close game. Both teams were missing major players but it was pretty entertaining. Poland still has a long way to go. See you in Germany !

I personally think England is going to do well this time around but not because of the weather. Brazilians have just as good of a chance being that they are good under both types of conditions.

you guys are missing the point here. I'm not saying it's a deciding factor by any means. But it DOES give Europeans a better shot at winning in their own climate. Have any of you guys ever tried to play a game of football in the searing 35 degree heat in the summer as opposed to at night? It's a huge difference. Another factor is that if it's in Europe, there will naturally be more European fans for each European nation. England, for example, will probably almost feel at home in a few of their games because of all their fans coming out.

But anyway, if you guys really think the weather is not a big factor in sports matches, especially with all the other pressures lumped in with it, then I doubt you guys were ever athletes.

btw, Germany beat China in a friendly 1-0 (with a penalty , zzzzzzzz)

It doesn't affect Brazil either way since they're used to hot weather anyway. All I'm saying is it gives Europeans more of an equal playing ground. I remember the 86 WC in Mexico...it was literally 45 degrees outside for the England-Argentina Hand of God match. Kevin Keegan later said he could barely breathe by the 2nd half.

The 94 WC is another good example...don't remember Baggio blowing it over the bar in penalties? The Italians were absolutely fucked by extra time because of the heat.

I'll ask again...have you ever tried running up and down a football field for 90 plus minutes in extremely hot weather?

To Emery and St.Andrew:

Guys, honestly, you can ALWAYS find tix.
The BIGGEST games are REALLY tuff, i agree.
But group phase matches its basically a gimme.

A TON of my friends went to Portugal last summer,
and got tix to 6 (SIX!) different games.

I was at France98, and i scored tix to the semis
between France and Croatia - granted it was at
the Stade de France which holds 80 000, but it WAS the semis.

My best friend was also there and scored tix to 4 different
games that year as well....

BOTTOM LINE: As long as ur willing to pay and ur not too
picky with where u sit, u WILL get tix. 100% BELIEVE me

Unlike before you won't be able to get tickets on the black market this time! Cause you have to prove your identity with an ID card, so unless you have a fake ID + matching ticket, you won't come in. Did your friends get tickets from black market or by legal means?

Also I think the interest for this is more massive than anything we have seen before, that Germany is in the middle of Europe doesnt make it less interesting... Of my friends perhaps 80% of all the ppl are talking about going to Germany next summer, no matter if they get tickets or not. If only a fraction of those ppl go, we will still have like half a million from Sweden alone down there, wanting tickets, and I can't imagine the interest being less in other countries.

Oh and the first game between Croatia and Sweden I missed because I didn't find any statin in canada that showed it

Anyway, we will beat ya in the cup
