nah not needed phil. your mum usually does a thorough job. no spillage whatsoever.
ah thats ok. i heard she was in bad form recently, nice to know shes back on it!
jizza has it. kryal ftw
Just under 8 hours to go!
Kryal should be great! The weathers even looking good!
just got back...
mm well i can start with there being a booze bus and car searching (prereq for car search was pretty much if you're young it seems...) just before kryal.. that was a nice waste of time
ended up getting there just after 9, so missed out on steve's set...
other ta's there were g`dave, thrillz, marsh, and someone else that i met louie d?? dunno anyone else...
and on offer on arrival was like hard trance, more hard trance, and harder trance (like 160bpm stuff or something.. they should wipe off 5 and save lives), and psy stuff, although the psy was ~ when i first got there at kryal :/
the first hour the hard trance on the main area wasn't TOO off scale, was O_o, but it was fine to just stuff around for a while and imitate muzzas n stuff for a bit.. CHARGINNNN...
although the set after... started the flow for the next few hours - no depth, very shallow, just crap, you dont *really* wanna hear it.. but then things get even better... hellraiser.. zomfg.. WTF O_O oh oh oh, I HAD to escape, and here's the real killer, when hell raiser was on (at like 1am i think it was), you COULDNT get out of kryal... they done like passouts for an hour or something at 11pm, and then stopped... and next passouts were given out at 2am.. ZOMFG... NO ESCAPE OF THE SHIT... hellraiser, and hard and HARDER^2 and the psy during this time was shit, id come back every now n then to the psy for like a minute and it's like just lines from movies on to some bullshits O_o, and just rubbish.. and that dj was done a 2hr set or something.. the maze wasted some time - was some interesting ppl around in there too, same in the car park: chick decked out in phatties, and glow shit all over, "this is my first rave".. "i love trance and techno!" .... im like "THIS ISNT TRANCE" "then what is it?" "SHIT" "i like all kinda music", hahahaha I and suggested she make sure she checks out katana..
and then midro came on at 2 for half hour, and fucked up the set times by half hour.. and made the hard shit drag out even LONGERRRR ARGH
FINALLY katana came on at 2.30am... the hard shit stopped.. then instantly you could hear the difference, as I said... "SOUNDS LIKE REAL MUSIC! OH MY GOD!"
and katana done a pretty good set, although he's not a brilliant mixer - although not too bad :/ the tune selection was pretty good..
then was callaghan, i stuck around for 15 minutes, and well i dunno, maybe after all that hard shit, I became a bit easier to please, but i found it alright.. although I went back to the psy and damn it was GOOD!
funny to see the candy ravers come in, do their standard raving thing with their glowsticks for a minute, then walk out...
came back for mike... i thought it was pretty damn dissapointing, a few good songs, but not many, hell he played traffic O_o .. then there was someone and scott bond (or something like that..), and they kinda squished up the sets a bit to get the set list back on schedule...
i was feeling tired just after 5.. but then i saw dumonde on the stage.. *runs to the front n jumps up n down* w00 w00
jamx came out to the front and done a few signings n shit, i asked him to play memory.. "err.. maybe" (obviously a NO, but in a nice way heh oh well).. and when dumonde played, was really damn good! not many classics tho - can you dig it, and the melodic bit of never look back, the rest was new stuff
they'll be playing a 3 hr set saturday tho and be playing "all our old and new stuff"! AWESOME! except.. EXCEPT.. zomfg along with the likes of hellraiser, and kaos and stuff.. :/ ill have to find out what time their sets at and go at the right time!
on another note, on the way back, in melbourne, on princes hwy.... im middle lane.. some like xf falcon left 100m infront or so.. red light at intersection ahead, so things moving slowly.. then suddenly their rear passenger wheel COMES OFF and their car just slides to a stop and the wheel like goes past infront of me (I had stopped by this point, and we're just laughing and watching the wheel slowly roll by 3 lanes, hit the curb, and then roll back and stop after a metre... very wtf.. he gets out and gets it.. and yeah...) wtfbbq
and on that bombshell, sleep. perhaps.
for those not bothered to read all that:
Cliff notes:
1) First half sucked (well from 9pmish+ - when i got there)
2) Second half (erm, 2.30am onwards) good.
3) lol hard trance
4) sleep.
edit: one other thing, DAMN it's cold there in the middle of the night!

it's not even raining.. not PROPER kryal, imo.

Marsh seemed to be enjoying himself when I ran into him in the morning.
Katana, MIKE and JOC were pretty good IMO, had a ball down on the main stage all that time bopping around to their tunes.
all i can say is that i had a blast, kryal without the rain was something special that only happens every so often.
I really enjoyed the main stage. Can anyone actually clarify the set order because i heard it changed a fair bit.
Everyone seemed to be really enjoying the night. Maybe i was just enjoying it so much that i made presumptions
oh btw i think i heard dumonde say they are playing again next saturday, not sure where or when and sorry if this has already been posted.
hahahahahahahahahahahaha
LOL @ Sunrise
Dave Lea/Scott Bond went on straight after Scott Alert & NFX.
Then it went sour with Hell raiser/Midro
Then it picked up beautifully with:
Main Room (In Order of Appearence)
M.I.K.E
Jon O'Callahan
Randy Katana
Scott Bond
Dumonde
Ritchie Rich
The music was unbelievable

what was richie's set like benji?

Cmon guys, who was there and who heard what i did? cause it was unbelievable
MIKE actually played New Order - Blue Monday (MIKE bootleg) - I asked him about it
And BTW thanks again Ben for letting me borrow that pass!!
I asked MIKE how many aliases he actually has and he said 'I don't know...too many!"
