Because neither PvD or G&D would necessarily fit in with the musical stylings of the Global Underground compilations, not to mention, they both are on the trancier side of things as where GU tends to focus more on house, tribal, breaks, and *true* progressive as opposed to straight up epic/uplifting/watered down trance (save of course for some of the earlier releases). Let them do a project for more of a trance-related compilation series so it matches their style more and leave GU for those dj's who's range of music fits in better.

After listening to SciFiHiFi, I definitely agree.

Tiesto: Global Underground Disneyland
lol
but seriously... Luke Chable... that would be the sweet, but deviating a little from the GU sound.

I wouldn't say that, its just because the standard of todays dance music is so shit in my opinion. I guarantee i will not be listening to Dannys GU or Lavelle's GUs in years to come, whereas i still enjoy today Seamans, Sasha's & Digweeds GU's. 5 years after they've been released.

pretty good, but not amazing. like, 7.5 out of 10. the jamie anderson mix is a bit more banging but i prefer this one.

that's exactly what i meant.. the new ones aren't as special anymore.. and they don't have the almost exclusivity in big and/or new exciting djs they've used to have anymore

although i like the sound of both G&D as PvD, i totally agree with your argument. your right on what you said i think. their styles differ way too much from the style in which GU releases are released. your right on that. and Gu needs to keep their identity, because thats what made them as what they are right now .. its just that, im more a trance fan than a tribal or breaks fan. i like a lot of house, and progressive has been growing on my like-list too. but its hust a wish of me ... too bad it just doesnt fit in the profile of the GU releases. maybe its an idea to start of a new GU sub-serie, with more nowadays trance mixes from the like of PvD, G&D (although their more tilting towards house n progressive), markus schulz, etc ... tiesto is trance too, but his more older mixes would only fit in a serie i guess.
the best thing about GU is their fame, although their not known. all my friends have never heared of it, nor the dj's. when a time i told my friend about GU013, and told him its (one of) the bible of EDM music (and im a christian too!), he first asked; isnt sasha the one who also did encore une fois? ... such a shame. though most of my friends dont like EDM-related genre's, its a big shame. but again, since only 'die-hard' (real) music lovers of 90's EDM music know sasha, digweed, and the GU series, thats where i think GU gets its fame from. and its better maybe it stays that way ... commerce breaks down too much lately. look at tiesto
pfff, what a story i just worte ... gonna quit now, ill reply later when you have

this isn't really news, or amazing.. pretty much all the music i listen to falls in that category, and most people on this site have gone through the same situation for years.
it gets tiresome to read this kind of rants repeated over and over again by different people.

sorry but we need another GU from mr.tenaglia maybe Danny in Peru or some gosh forsaken place like that. Tenaglia pwns the rest of the deejays in the world, he is just that damn gooood.

tenaglia or digweed would be awesome, i haven't heard his athens set but from london that was sick. Such smooth tunes till he broke out the chunky tribal. His Back to Basics was also sick, and that dubtribe soundsystem - do it now, were awesome.

Peru doesnt have the money to bring in a dj like tenaglia.. even with the huge triballier following over there... ive heard tenglias prices are through the roof....
