Well good for you for feeling you need to be real on an internet music forum. Maybe you should run for a political position with the TA cor, perhaps even governor when you get older. Don't let your dreams be shattered, you are a unique and beautiful snowflake

Sorry but call one's character into question over something like this is so irrational that one must conclude that it is a emotionally charged reaction.

With regard to image, I don't doubt that you are very much the same in certain situations of real life as you are here. That said we all highlight certain parts of or personalities and supress others in order to best fit the situation we are in at any given momement. The Jenn you present to us here, or at the club, or at work, or to your family, are all different. This is not to say that anyone of those images is false. They are all very much real but arranged differently. You can deny this all you like but it is the truth, if you are not aware of it you're only fooling yourself.

Posted by Slylee on Jan-20-2006 19:55:

by the way, the main factor here is not really caring what a bunch of people you've never met think of you.

trust me, i'm not one of those, "fuck everyone i don't give a shit what people think, bla bla bla" i do...to a certain extent. but that's mainly with people i deal with day to day. i don't know, maybe if i chilled with a lot of you in person every weekend, i would care more. but i don't...so i don't.

it's actually quite simple. i don't go home feeling like a loser every day. in fact, i go to school or go home and i spend time with my mom and my boyfriend or other friends and i don't really give TA another thought until i get to my boring ass desk job the next morning (although yesterday i defeinitely did, that was too juicy to leave work and not think about TA lol).

there's also a few exceptions with TA's i've become pretty friendly with through chat and the phone, and the TA's i've actually met.

Actually no. Please refrain from telling me who I am or assuming my motivations, because you will always be wrong.

It makes you look even less like a person worthy of respect and trust. How do you figure that is a valid excuse?

Basically all it shows is that you lack the integrity to be real with people and also shows poor character, both on the internet AND real life.

Why not be man or woman enough to admit that the behaviours you display on the internet are an honest part of who you are, rather than saying you're never "really" like that? You're not fooling anyone, those thoughts and feelings have to come from SOMEwhere. And if they REALLY aren't the person you are, then it makes you look EVEN MORE like you have issues with functioning in any society.

No one's buying it. At least not me.

/rant

Someone told me you're not actually as big of a slut in real life.

Were they lying?

Sorry Jenn but if you honestly believe yourself to be the same person in every situation that you encounter and that you present yourself the same way to every person you meet then you either have a distorted self image or you're socially inept.

I am only an expert on one thing in life, myself. And I don't need you to believe it for it to be true. You can stop apologizing.

If you trully believe what you have stated throught this thread then I fear your expertise is questionable at best. You should at least be honest with yourself.

YOU DON'T KNOW ME!!! ONLY I KNOW ME SO YOU'LL NEVER KNOW ME!

Again, I don't feel the need to prove anything to you, nor am I worried about what you think. I find your assumptions irritating, but it's not enough to get me into an argument about it.
