svenson & Gielen - Twisted <---- been there, seen it, done it , 100% rock solid cheese

very cheap melody! I sure they stole it somewhere since I have heard it before

1st of all, excuse me for not reading pages 2-6.

Mine:

Tiesto's Urban Train and Flight 643 and most of all---
His remix of Delerium's Silence> I never understood what was so good about it... IMO it's even less powerful than the radio edit or something like that.

IIO- Rapture: Riva and Armin remixes are OK+, on the contrary this track sucks ass.

Marco V. - Godd>>> I know this has been discussed a lot but it ain't that good.

S.H.O.K.K>>> Not really moved, that's all...

And just to get a bit more toasted, I'll add the fact that I like Scooter....

I dislike:

90% of Dumonde productions.
90% of Above & Beyond productions, for the same reason as Dumonde (guess why)

EVRYONE LOVES these tracks but they dont do much for me at all

1. Gouryella - Gouryella
2. Gouryella - Tenshi
3. PVD - For an Angel

they just dont do it for me...

Another producer/remixer I think is overrated is Wippenberg. Everybody is shouting about how fantastic his remixes are, while in fact 90% of them are pure cheese, just like his Aquagen productions. Especially his remix of B&J - Nightclubbing is overrated, the original is way better. And how can you really like a remix of Dance Nation - Sunshine or Airheadz - Stanley? IMO the only good Wippenberg remix is ATB - Let U Go.

I know I'll get flamed for this, but hopefully I'm not the only one who feels this way......

joy kitikonti - joyenergiser <<-- how can this be popular?
everything blank & jones has done since cream (and that was only rescued by PvD)
everything by fire & ice

PvD's Politics album is OK, but gets kinda boring after a few listens - that kick beat gets somewhat tiresome. Makes me almost look forward to that Timo Maas track, as it's the only one that sounds different on the album (even though I don't like it). I'd prefer to listen to Vorsprung Dyk Technik rather than Politics.

On the other hand, I do like PvD's tracks, especially tell me why and autumn.

I really like 10 in 01, probably since the first time I heard it was in a club, dropped by Jules, and it's one of those tracks that really hits you the first time you listen to it, but doesn't gain anything upon further listens.

Iio's rapture is great, well at least the Deep Dish remix is. All the other remixes sound too rushed, and don't have those great dark, creepy sounds that the Dish always seem to dig up.

Respect to that, Deep Dish's Space mix is a regular on my play list.

some people are saying, anything by a certain artist they hate, when how can you have heard all of their songs, if i you have, then i understand, but i would say most people havent heard everything from one artist

Maybe hate is too strong a word. Indifferent to? Unimpressed by? Get the aesthetic diarrhea from?

I'm pretty sure I've heard most tracks by Blank & Jones and Fire & Ice, and I'm sorry to say I've been unimpressed by all. Of course I'm a glutton for punishment and keep listening to their newest tracks, just see if they've changed stylisticly at all since last time I heard, but I'm always disappointed. Maybe one day when listening to the latest B&J track, I'll be pleasantly surprised, huh?

I love just about everything Matt Darey has done. Is this odd? Isn't his style similar to the B&J and F&I? Well, he did it back two years ago or more, and back then it was fresh and interesting. It's the "been there, done that" syndrome.

Oh, and I too was horrified to see someone dis' Energy 52. That's what trance is (was) all about in my view!

But no probs. Opinions are like @$$holes, everyone's got 'em, including me. :

i like the wippenberg remix of Urban Train... better than the original imo

but the cosmic gate mix is fantastic!

I think that "Iio - Rapture" totally sucks, oh yes that song is pure crap, the vocals are ugly, the singer sounds like she just woke up in the morning, it has no energy, no matter which remix I try, the escence of the song is pure and absolut CHEESE. The first time I heard it I tought it was Dance. Oh and what the hell is this, the goddamn song made it to TA track of the year Final and is in second place!!!????? are you people insane? Again, the song sucks!!!!!!!
I prefer to listen "Alice Deejay - Better of alone" 58 times than that fukin song and if you don't like this you can kiss my azz!!!.

it's one of the best tracks of 2001!!!!
the vocals are unique and not ugly... that's what makes the song so special!!! it's awesome!!

I mainly agree with you, although I'd not use that exact words......

The only remix of this tune that it listenable is the Riva Remix before the vocals kicks in. The rest is pure crap.

I only like the deep dish remix

riva mix and armin mix are not that good.
And I prefere trance over house.

Dunno why everybody is talking about that armin mix, probably becouse they only made 500 copies of it in the beginning. But it's not good at all, no build-up, just boring.

I always thought I was weird b/c I never really liked any of Tiesto's productions:

I think he's a much better DJ and remixer than a producer. Leave the producing to Ferry (Well, IMO)! I really like Dance Valley Theme. I heard him drop that song I was like...WOWSERS! I was in total awe. It's true, some songs are better heard live then on your computer. When I heard Tiesto play Urban Train, I changed my opinion about the song. But then I listened to it again at home and was like..."Hmmm...this sux."

I'm surprised no one mentioned

OMG...I'm gonna get a beat down for this one. I'm listening to the track right now and trying to decipher the "greatness" out of it. Hmmm...this track doesn nothing for me. Very boring. OK...I'll stop now before I get flamed. YIKES!

Kosheen - Catch U

Doesn't matter which mix, I just don't like it. Overrated, IMO.
