first time at guv...

I'll be honest it's not something I can do all too often, way too crowded and shit...can't handle that...

was good though after I secured a nice front and centre spot on the stage

My pal Dan & I got there early at around 10:30 or so....The guestlist was for line by-pass only and NOT reduced which irked me a bit but oh well...Anyway we both mingled and ran into people that we knew and the crowds grew bigger & bigger...Finally Johan comes on and drops some sweet choons...At this point it was a fucking sauna and Dan & I would go outside to cool off but after an hour into Johans set we decided to leave....It was WAY too hot and there was like no room to dance...We did run into some awesome pople who had wikid dance moves...Coat check was a breeze and once outside I had the munchies (No i didn't dose ) and we each grabbed a hot dog/sausage and they we're SOO good...While we ate outside the club we enjoyed a show called "Cops arresting people"....Maybe they should start with Charles (Guv owner) for over capacity

Anyway I drove Dan home and I got home, showered of the Geno sweat off me and had a nice sleep

This morning I feel great ...Its awesome to wake up with NO hang-over or sketchyness

WHOA!! I had a freakin great time. I don't think i've danced so hard in my life...and i'm definately paying for it today..i'm so sore. It was nice to see everyone again, and also to meet some people Tyler...thanks for holding all my stuff for me, i appreciated it And as for you Mike...i can't believe you snorted that line of salt however as always it was good to see you. Also nice to see Kelly...hope you had a blast..sorry i didn't say bye i lost you there at the end.

I give the night a 8/10

I had alot of fun. Everyone seemed to be out to this event, with lots of hugs and all around great times. After party at shannys was awesome!

I took the bus home and kept falling asleep. Then I would wake up, wonder where I was for a second, just as I was sliding off the seat about to smack my head off the chair lol.

Its time for some sleep now, so looking forward to that!

all the promos e-mailed to me said that gallery opens its doors to guv main room at 2am...i didn't go but would be pissed if they held off until 3am...

Definitely good times. It had been a while since I've gone out partying, so it was GREAT seeing everyone again.

Arrived just after 11pm to hear Deep Groove playing some nice tunage. Great job, boys! I hope you guys weren't too nervous, with it being your first time spinning in the main room.

Gielen threw down a wicked, wicked set! I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Checked out Gallery for the first time - the room has a nice vibe to it. Music was alright too.

Also ventured into The Drink to hear Acquaviva - wasn't too bad. A little too slow, for my taste at that hour.

Why does my hair stink of smoke?

good night overall

started by going to the pre party which is always fun. great to talk to TAs in normal voices. mike, wow, u are one crazy salt addict. and someone needs to call the fire dept. cuz sasha's mouth was on fire half the night lol!

when we got in deep groove was spinning and it was meh. not my kind of stuff. but it did get me moving a bit and got me warmed up for johan.

the starting of johans set was really nice. good classic tracks with lots of energy. the last 30-45 min was so so. maybe it was just me being tired and exhausted because of the horrible heat and being packed 2/3 of the time. last track was a nice finisher though.

the dragon show before johan was pretty cool too and a nice touch to the night. great to see and meet most of the TAs again, as always it wouldn't be a night without you.

when i was heading out, just after 5, i got my coat and a huge fight broke out at the entrance. some bouncer wouldnt let a group of guys in, so he said something, they other guys said something and all hell broke loose. later when i walked out, about 5-6 cop cars went by me to the guv

I had a sik nite. But i must say i was a little disappointed that johan didnt play "show me what you got" or "twisted". I went to the dj both with my friend catalin to get autographs. Johan seemed pissed for some reason and signed a paper i got with lipstick. As my friend gave his paper for johan to sign, he just turned away and left. The funny thing is, we were the only 2 up there asking for autographs. At least John Acquaviva wrote "All the best " in his autograph. Im sorry, but i expected that johan would drop alot more of his classic productions and new because of the set time he had. It was like he brought every1 to high then left us hanging. Overall it was a good night and johan actually did a good job winging his beatmatching and did the cdj closed loop trick enough times lol (which first came from Armin).
Great nite but wanted more. Maybe my expectations were too high.

tremendous night! probably the best sober night i've ever had at the Guv, plus I finally got to meet some of you guys! Deep Grove, Johan and Brad all killed it. Amazing night!

Fantasitc night!!


Started by hittin the pre-party at Scotland Yard. Lots and lots of laughs at the expence of Mike and his sodium sucking. Good be able to sit and chill out before the party.

The Guv was not too packed when we got there, but as usual, it became sardine city. Thank goodness for having a huge group of TAs owning front centre! I remember goin to jams before I was in TA and it would be tough fending for yourself out there LOL.

Very nice to meet Johan! He seemed like a real nice down to earth guy.

All night I tried and tried to get into the zone. I was just exausted. Somehow I got a second wind around 4:30 and went pretty hard until we left just before 6. It felt soooo good to lie down LOL

alright that was just insane, i had so much fun not only because of Johan but just the atmosphere was crazy. Gielen's transitions were so smooth i didnt even notice separate songs. I wanted to hear at least one song from svenson&gielen production but it was still awesome.

Awesome night.

We bummed out a bit early (around 5:30).. But Mr. Gielen delivered. All my friends came out wild-eyed -- everybody had a great night!

Mmm, the only negative thing about the night is the lack of dancing space from 2-3.. It started clearing up nicely after 3.
