longer review later, but holy shit picotto did suck. his only saving grace was komodo, but then he took like 45 minutes to get off the fucking decks, what was with that - WORST change over EVER - that long drawn off half hour killed the night for me, i went from being super pumped to wanting to go home...
picotto - u suck - you should have let BnJ come on at 4:30 SHARP!
that being said, last night was KILLER!!!! and, im proud to say, that i did it "sober" and had so much fun. hopefully this will become a habit.
steve porter - opening set in the KH - fantastic
mark oliver opening set - BRILLIANT!

and blank and jones was great.. as i was leaving, they were dropping bomb after bomb after bomb.

would have liked to have stayed for BnJ, but my body was just absolutly dead...
No guv problems, wasnt TOOO packed, and wasnt too hot... it was a perfect night.
somebody mentioned they heard marcel woods - advanced... cant belive i missed this track, i love it!

BUT the party was stellar!
i personally loved the jxl set. second sun was also good. picotto, played a few good tracks but it was a pretty boring set.
and the highlight of the night is when B&J played CREAM!!!!
anyway hope you all had fun too!
I got like 35minutes of video clips and it's pretty good qual so i'm gonna try mixing them into one video file and post it on youtube or something.

Ok Im awake, I can review now. Gott here 11ish with Bro and Friend, Got in no problem. Avoided the Coat check line up by leavin all our jackets in the gallery bathroom. That woman in there is the nicest ever. Got some drinks and headed back to KH. Stayed there most of the night goin back and forth from the clowns to the TA masses over on the other side. Junkie XL rocked it hardcore. Picotto - meh...found myself just standing around most of his set...thats when I did most of my walking. Headed over to Gallery with a couple clowns, over to guv, etc. Blank & Jones killed me, sucked that they came on so much later but they were well worth the wait. Almost stayed till the end, but by 645ish I just couldnt stand anymore. So I jetted. And I was STARVING and had to go eat something.
Shout outs: bah way too many. A few that stick out tho...

One of the highlights of the night for me:::
AC/DC - Thunderstruck dropped in Gallery sometime when picotto was on. Tordan was there, he knows what Im talkin about. Too bad the floor was way too splippery and I almost fell on my face a couple times. Thanks To Andy & Co. for holdin me up, heh!
ps: Ola has been found! Shes safe @ home, so I need not worry
After seeing Steve Porter in the gallery, i think my taste in music finally has changed. I have always been the uplifting trance guy, but man after i saw that man in there, i couldnt get enought!!! Def the highlight of my night with JXL a very close second!
Wow that was definitely a great experience for my first time at the guv/koolhaus!
Junkie XL was amazing! The highlight of my night was when he dropped his remix of "Talk" I seriously though I had died and gone to heaven, this guy has so much energy!!!
Second Sun blew my mind....I really wasn't liking the fact you couldn't dance for 2 seconds without someone pushing you...then someone smashed their elbow on the top of my head, but me and my friend Danielle got a spot up front and just went nuts. When they dropped "Playground" I knew the night was complete! "Crush" was amazing as well, woooooow Antoines vocals were incredible!

As I was saying, Junkie XL stole the freaking show in Kool Haus. Holy crap, it was an amazing set. I almost didnt go to Guv to check out Second Sun cuz his set was so killer 
But by far, the highlight was Second Sun for the night. Those guys had everyone in Guv in the palm of their hands! Pure energy in their performance too. Best concert type experience i've ever had! (although it was a piss off that it was sooo packed)

^ Best 7-8 minutes of the night by far!
Picotto was rather dissappointing tho.
I was expecting so much more. His set was totally lacking energy. Although he had a few good classic tracks in there, over all the 1 hour of his set that i did hear was lacking. I wanted to hear banging hard techno, not slow almost-minimal techno.
And of course, BLANK & JONES DELIEVERED AS USUAL! BOMB after BOMB after BOMB. Sweet jebus, they had an awesome set. I was trying to record it of ETN, but i only got 40min of picottos set, and then for some reason it gets cut off 
I hope someone recorded it!
And last but not least... the life of the party last night: InMyPlace (Natalia) & TranceGrooves (Tyler)! During Second Suns performance, these two were killin it with energy! Always a pleasure partying with you guys.

I had a great time last night thanks to all the TA's that were present, if it wasn't for you all I think I might have died of boredom. I don't think that I have ever once felt like the way that I did last night. Porter's opening set was awesome, Junkie XL was good, but part way through the second hour it just got to be too repetitive and boring. Then there was shity ass picotto, WTF, have we not learned our lesson here in Toronto after the last three visits?? Picotto sucks balls so don't bring him back! I think over half the people left the KoolHaus during his set and went somewhere else.
So after a long Gruelling 2 hours.......
Blank and Jones came on. They startd off a bit slow, but definatley picked it up part way thru....Lovin the old school tracks 
Anywho....Josh thanks for letting us chill at your place after....ladies hope you all are okay over there still, tell tony its time to leave you girls alone you need to rest

Return Of Oliver..Mark Oliver proved to be worthy of the wait as he took us on a full blast trance journey right after the live act Second Sun which btw put on a great show for the clubbers in the main room..
Steve porter also had the crowd going mad inside the KH with some really upbeat and border line progressive trance..lol!
and I finally got a techno fix from M.A.U.R.O..defenitely good to have him back in the GAME..
Huge shout out to the TA massive,,YOU OWNE THE DANCE FLOOR WHEREEVER YOU GO!!

Woah I havent slept yet!!
I'd like to say I havent had that much fun in MONTHS!! Probably since Ultra Spin 8 last June.
I'm not even gonna attempt shout outs cause there's WAY too many names! YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!
And while I've definatly heard better from Mauro, he wasnt AS BAD as everyone says. He was the first artist I started listening to when EDM first caught my ear. Plus he signed my CD cover. So fuck all y'all! LOL
But Blank & Jones! There's the story of the night!!! KICK ASS!!!

Steve Porter was definitely a wicked DJ! Perfect to warm us all up for the night ahead

Definietly had a great time last night!
Sat in guestlist line for a while... wtf?!?! and the $20 cover wasn't cool, but it was worth it.
Porter and Mark Oliver's set were a great way to start the night. Kept hopping back and forth between the Kool Haus and the Guv.
Saw only the first bit of JXL - wasn't feeling it. Guy's got cool style though. Went back to the main room and heard Talk there - perfect timing.
Second Sun was sooooooo much better then I could have ever expected. The energy they had on the stage and vocals were amazing. That guy looks like a rock star.
Don't know why we went into the Kool Haus to see Picotto nor why we stayed there so long - big mistake! Sounds like we should had gone back for last part of Second Sun's set - damn!
I know now techno's not really my thing... either that or Picotto just really sucked (probably both). Sat down for during his set, what a waste of time. Was getting really impatient for Blank and Jones... wtf?!?! 
Waiting an extra half hour was NOT COOL. And on top of that the changeover was the worst (I'm not even familiar with the ins and outs of DJ'ing, but even I could tell it sucked).
And the fact that Blank and Jones started off pretty slow, was such a buzz kill. Had they started the set with more energy, we'd have stayed, but about 15 min into it, we were too tired and left around 5:30. I'ts too bad, after listening to B&J on 2hp.ca all day yesterday, I was really pumped for them. I guess I should have stayed longer sicne everyone is raving about them, but my body was giving out. They should have taken Picotto's set time! That would have rocked!
All in all - a great night out. Didn't see too many TAs (where was everyone?!?!) Glad to see Tyler as always. And so nice seeing Paula again (feel so bad for not recognizing you... but geez it had been over 2 months since Marco V!)

Spent most of my time in the Kool Haus, and a bit of time in the Guv for Second Sun. The unfortunate thing with Second Sun playing in Guvernment was a lack of dance space, but hect they still put on a good show. Steve Porter in KH was effin' awesome house music, but I missed most of his set. I`d see Steve Porter as a headliner anyday. Blank and Jones played solid trance, including an amazing remix of that Hold That Sucker Down track. Props to B&J for playing thier remix of my emo song - "The Killers - Mr. Brightside"
I met a few new TAs (something I havent done in awhile). Irishaddict, sKyBrEaK (was aquainted with him on the TA IRC channel nearly 5 years ago!), and met tons of TAs I havent seen in a long, long time. Karim - we got the need... for speed! Smunky, maybe I will goto more trance events now. Ola pulls off the Mary Jane Watson look very well. Did I mention my real name is Peter Parker?
