I read the bible and attend church every so often not really as a way of worshipping or giving thanks to a higher being. It's more about learning lessons and having a foundation for morals.

Not all religions are centered on the existance of a God. And not all religions that do have a God necesarily ascribe it with human characteristics. And not all Christians/Muslims/Jews take everything in the bible/Qur'an/Torah literally
