who in their right mind is going to HAPPILY sign with the Saints...
I suppose if you're going to get the money, I'd go to the traveling circus too...

I heard TO is getting 10 million for one year.
Just the word off the grapevine, I have no idea if its correct.

Originally posted by Spartan thats quite a lot of money. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I hope the Eagles are good this year so they can kick the shit out of Dallas. I can't wait to see their linebackers or Dawkins against TO. Its gonna be gruesome.
Eagles will always suck... they let any chance of winning go when they pulled that bogus TO suspension shit last year... I hope the Eagles organization crumbles... or should I say keeps crumbling...

I've always had a thing against Eagles fans, which are the worst in the NFL by far, but I love the organization now b/c of what they did to TO. I love it how they had the balls to do what they did, and how they put their team values above winning. Not many organizations or coaches would have had the guts to do what they did.

lol... understood...
TO is a selfish piece of crap and I hate that bastard! His mocking antics of other teams and his own teammates is so disrespectful it's the last thing I look for in player that I like. Sorry, I'm for guys like Isaac Bruce, Torry Holt, Marvin Harrison, Barry Sanders, etc. that are superstars but still class acts. The only exception is Chad Johnson and his showboating but that's because he doesn't show up anybody on the field. He's just funny.
TO is a cancer to any team he plays for. Yeah the Eagles got the Super Bowl but they made the NFC championship the previous 3 years so it's not like it was a stretch. And to say that this year collapse wasn't the result of that cancer than I don't know what is.
Respect his talent, disrespect the person and the cancer he brings to every team he'll play for.
I love Torry Holt as well.
Back to TO though,
Its not the endzone celebrations - which aren't nearly as big a deal as the press builds them up to be, or the discord he brings to the locker room ~ I just hate TO for how he treats his teammates on camera. Like Dirk Novitski (sp?) for Dallas, any player that goes public and insults or brings down another player on his team is the worst kind of teammate. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooo!
I don't think TO is more of an asset thana liability. Yes the Eagles made the Super Bowl run with him but he was hurt for a good portion of that time and the Eagles won 2 playoff games without him (along with several regular season games).
Not to take away from TO the player but his antics and his trash talk attract more attention than his preformances.
In other news, The Colts just signed Adam Vinateri. I guess theyre still tasting last years bitter exit to the Steelers....

Best Kicker of all-time is in Indy... good luck to him...
although I would have rather seen him in Green Bay... he'll always be the MAN...
I am assuming that the reason the Pats are letting all these people walk is so that they can sign Branch and more importantly Richard Seymour to extensions,Seymour especially deserves the money..jhis stats do not tell you how important he is to that defense
adding on to seymour is also tedy Bruschi (hopefully he is ok .. probably not) and mike vrabel. the pats let go of many people on defense . i think the pats also resigned asante samuel, who really has stepped up the past couple of years .
as for the colts, i wouldn't be surprised if vanderjagt and vinateri are both on the colts next year . vanderjagt would do kickoffs, and vinateri would do field goals . i still say the colts are going to go nowhere next year, especially with now dominick rhodes behind peyton.
peyton will now know how it feels like to be his dad. always running from the defense.

Originally posted by Spartan I don't know Rhodes is pretty good as well, he did a nice job filling in when Edge was hurt. and do they still have Mungro? , cause if they do they're solid at the RB spot.
brian griese signed with the bears for five years......
if he stays healthy, i think its an excellent fit for chicago
