the best was when they changed it on gradius 3 on snes... so you had to use the L and R buttons... and if you just used left and right on the pad you got raped (self-destruct) haha

NHL94 i used to use montreal all the time... reliving the classic adams division playoffs vs boston #1

Yeah for sure, but their selections are terrible. You would be lucky to get a game of that caliber. They are mostly N64 and newer.

Microplay would have them for sure, but I don't know about their prices anymore. I havent bought anything there for years, since I got so many emulators/roms.

OMFG, this is too cool

Posted by DJ_Elyot on Feb-22-2006 04:23:

First of all:

And who could forget:

And one of my favourites from the old PC games:

I bet we all remember this level:

Posted by iLiptikalOrbitZ on Feb-22-2006 05:05:

OH SHIT, I just remembered another game. This is probably my favorite game that I've ever played.

StarTropics

Your main weapon in this game was a Yo-Yo, you drove a submarine, and roamed around a huge map. There was a sequal also called Zoda's Revenge, but alas I never played it. Maybe I can get the ROM for PSP, and play it again....

Posted by Dj Smitty20 on Feb-22-2006 07:21:

I dont know if anybody mentioned this, but Mike Tyson's PUNCH OUT for Nintendo was cool. Then they changed it around after he was convicted of rape.

Also, the original Streetfighter for SEGA.

Posted by narcism on Feb-22-2006 08:02:

im addicted to the older games

Wonderboy
alex the kidd
icarus
donkeykong
bubble bobble
leisure suit larry
impossible mission (1 and 2, remember the voice: "stay a while, stay forever")

u guys, u realise u can play all these games on the pc now, you just need an emulator to play the files

Smash Bros is neither a button-masher, nor is it a classic yet.

For me it's all about :

Zelda: LttP (SNES
Zelda: Link's Awakening (Gameboy)
Zelda (NES)
Earthbound (SNES)
FF4 (2 in NA) (SNES)
FF6 (3 in NA) (SNES)
Chrono Trigger (SNES)
Street Fighter 2 (SNES)
Metal Gear (NES)
Paperboy (NES)
Q-Bert (NES)
Super Mario Bros 3 (NES)
Ninja Turtles: Turtles through Time (SNES)
Shadowrun (SEGA)
Landstalker (SEGA, also, favourite adventure game of all time)
BattleToads (The one for SNES)
Double Dragon (NES)
Super Ninja Boy (SNES)
Pacman (Atari, I could get to the yellow level when I was 4 years old)
Super Mario Bros (NES, cousin showed me how to beat it, I beat it the first day I had my NES)
Asteroids (Atari)
Sim City (PC)
Wizardry 6: Bane of the Cosmic Forge (PC)
Theme Park (PC)
Theme Hospital (PC)
Command and Conquer (PC)
Dungeon Keeper (PC)
Wolfenstein (PC)
Sonic and Knuckles (SEGA)

So many fond memories of when games were made to be GAMES, not super-graffix realistic simulations.
