Hahaha..what about searching for the next track or playing with the effects? Haha I dunno, this just sounded really funny to me.

when I'm at home, I'm usually playing all new cd's and cycling through them interchably, to see how they mix together...same songs over and over on the same 3-4 cd's to "get to know" any new songs. It's not like there's a crowd there to find "the perfect song" to play.

p.s. my mixer in my house has no effects

lol it's all about the vinyl, I love the feel of it. But CDJ's offer more versatility.

cause I might be able to get a deal on one. The level meters and usb support are a plus over the 62 as well.

I agree that the cd decks are well overdue for an upgrade. They were mint for a beginner dj 6-7 years ago when I got them.

mines dm3000x. Same thing pretty much...except yours has those kill switches on either side of the xfader.

mine's such a p.o.s. Every volume fader crackles with static, big time, when you jiggle it left to right. Most of the eq knobs crackle when you touch them lol...headphone cue bleeds too, but that kind of forced me to try and learn how to mix without headphones on...just find the cue spot and let it rip.

I was gonna buy a pioneer djm800, but decided to keep saving and buy one of these bad boys instead...and just deal with my shitty assed mixer. Clubs always have proper mixers and it's not like I ever have to take my mixer to the clubs with me.

EDIT:...I'm actually getting an erection staring at that picture

My brother bought the rolands and went off to Uni... now they're just sitting there. Not my thing, but definitely fun.

As posted in the DJ Booth forum:

Made the monitor stands for about $10 from discard wood from Home Despot. There's also a Novation Remote Zero SL and laptop that comes out when I'm working on tuneage.

does anyone have that CBC bio/segment on Deadmau5 when he was living in his parents house? I remember watching it and it was all about his dj setup and how he managed all the cables he had.
