let's persuade J00F to release this gem on CD and hopefully also on 12". I can't believe that so much crap is released on 12" nowadays and something like this will not see it's place in the CD shelve.

yeah but you realise now that with karma included its over 90 mins hehe. without karma its still just over 80 mins. so might not have any luck

unless

they do

A DOUBLE ALBUM!!!!!!

Posted by THE_Chris on Mar-22-2006 11:51:

Yeah its interesting that the first 9 tracks are 80m20s. And 3 of them are the exact same filesize, the exact same length. I reckon they did clip them a bit to try and fit them onto a CD. But Karma put paid to that

Still, Id much rather have a download of all 10 tracks than a CD of just 9. Sure, a CD would just be nice, but from my point of view, I'd only just rip the CD onto my computer for convenience anyway. So CD/download isnt really an issue in my collection

Posted by zoric on Mar-22-2006 13:03:

I would love having this one on CD, even though digitally is much easier in another way.

But once again, think about RebeL9's comment about a lot of shit being released on 12' and CD and this isn't going to see a CD-release..

JOOF Recordings proudly present ...

The Digital Blonde - "Synthology"

This is the second in our series of JOOF artist albums. Again we're not asking the artist to come up with any love songs, R&B or anything thats out of character with their sound!! We want them to express themselves with music that can be played on the dance floor, after all this is what they are known and loved for.

This time we bring you The Digital Blonde 'Synthology'. A production career spanning nearly 20 years, Riki Smith aka The Digital Blonde has certainly proved his worth as one of the true pioneers of Trance. Having a plethora of singles and remixes under his belt he has gained a solid dedicated fan base that amazes us here at JOOF as we have to deal with the fan mail!!

The Digital Blonde phenomena started back in 1996 with the world renowned 'Antheum'. This was championed by Sasha, Digweed and Nick Warren and has become one of the Worlds true classic records of all time. Things didn't stop there, Riki kept rolling out hit after hit, Electra, Mooga and one of the biggest anthems at Gatecrasher 'Legato'.

Taking time out to take care of his new born daughter Sasha and to rebuild his studio (eventually put to rest his Atari ST!!!), Riki soon got to grips with his new Apple Mac and has churned out nine brand new tracks for this his debut album. He even took time to re make his classic Legato especially for this album!!

Lets waste no more time on words as the music here sells itself. Nine pure Trance tracks, Trance music as it should be and we are proud to be apart of this.

The Blonde is back !!!

Release Date - Scheduled for the 1st week in April !!!

Tracklist ...
Requia
Cyan
Casca
Only you
Legato 06
Rickashay
The Digital Blonde vs. Red 1 Concerto
Ritual
Tronika
Karma (bonus added track due to popular demand)

Hope this is what you've all been after :-)

A gorgeous tracklist and superb production quality.

that was plain fact. everyone knows Oliver Lieb is a legend and played an essential role in giving trance good credits.
the producers of today can only dream of reaching his standards
