Hmm, not sure about the ones posted, but this one is great: Christian Smith in Grenada Spain last week:

http://www.tronicmusic.com/djsets/s...0060212_128.mp3

I wouldn't say Christian is as banging as D.A.V.E. or Cave, but his style can be similar to Carl's for sure. 3 deck funky techno and tech house!!

Carl Cox is NOT techno, he's hard trance! But I'll most definitely dig through my library and see if I can post some nasty shit for you. I've got lots of Liebing and Speedy J which is pretty much as hard as it gets or I can go more the route of Adam Beyer and Mistress Barbara.

Does anybody else have any requests for artists, I will probably have it or at least get my hands on it for ya!

blondebangs - thanks for Luciano!! this thread needs some more groove. looking forward to downloading it tonight. [/QUOTE]

Oh if you like Luciano I've got a lot of him for you!!! He's one of my faves, especially with Ricardo. I've got some with him and Richie too and I'll get it out today. If you love the groovy funky techno, I'll throw a bunch up here...that's just my style!

In the mean time, I've got a brand new Francois K on the way and it's on top of my list right now, some of the most superior production and mixing I've heard in a while

thank you, this set is awesome.

starts off a bit slow/minimal, and gets harder & faster as it progresses. very well programmed set.

would you happen to have a track listing for this? I heard quiet a few massive tracks on there, I'd like to get my hands on.
If not, could you please see if you can ID the last track?

Thanks again.

he played wicked bangin techno at one point. but he keeps changing genres

Carl's 2nd Session Detroit Area2 mix album is one of my favorite techno mixes. That's the type of stuff I'm looking for... and I'm almost positive its techno.

oh and I can't really make requests for artists since i'm not too familiar with them yet, but anything like this set would be greatly appreciated:

This was pulled from another board - mostly incomplete for now but I'm sure it will continue to be updated!

Includes the last track

01 zgr Can - Mind Your Step
02 Adam Beyer - A Walking Contradiction Part II
03 Christian Smith & John Selway - Work It
04
05 John Dahlbck - Dancer

11 Mad8 - Work This Pussy
12
13 Dave Clarke - Protective Custody

16 Plastikman - Spastik

19 Nitzer Ebb - Let Your Body Learn

24 Valentino Kanzyani - Burros Eslovenos
25
26
27
28
29 Faitlhess - We Come One (Dave Clarke Remix)
30 Alloy Mental - Body Blue Print
31 Mauro Picotto - Darkroom

I've heard that mad8 track so many times lately...I am surprised it's such a big hit, it's really cheesey.

I wouldn't say Liebing is as hard as it gets...UNLESS he's playing live with Speedy J!

I've been meaning to do a tribute to Misstress B on my website, but I haven't gotten around to collecting all of her sets that I have in one spot - I must have about 10-15 on CDs, various computers, etc. Most of them are the bangin stuff too.

oh and btw, I totally agree, That Mad8 track is garbage... I dont get why so many djs are playing it

sorry my bad i got is confused with a Slices magazine DVD featuring an interview of them both ..

Livesets.com does a weekly tribute on Fridays to selected techno djs and tomorrow they will be featuring Oliver Ho!
expect 20+ hour of sets old and new, no need to register to tune in.

not my fav. swede but I have heard some great sets from him and his productions are always pretty solid too.

This week we have a tribute to Mr. Meta Records: Oliver Ho.

Following the success of his initial vinyl releases on London's reputable Blueprint label, Oliver Ho has established himself as one of the world's most creative electronic producers.

His own Meta imprint continues to develop a personal outlook and individual vision of music.

Frequent Djing appearances in both the UK and abroad enable Oliver to take his powering textural rhythms directly into the clubs, enhanced further by live drum machine and sampler interaction.

Having established the organic direction of Meta, Oliver Ho, with his second label, LIGHT and DARK, explores the mutation between rhythmic music and ambient tonal sound. Each release being a fusion of abstract elements, far more atonally electronic then META. Lastly, the third project EXIST, embraces the philosophy of multimedia, each release being a platform upon which various mediums can be explored. The first being a compilation of alternative music by various techno artists. Future releases coming in the forms of films, books, CD-ROM's and special 'exist' events.

well I wouldn't compare these to Cave or Carl really, but if you like DAVE here are some sets on this great site called technopride.net that might interest you.
It is a Brazilian site but they host sets for about 30 djs they profile, the downloads are usually speedy, and every month they update a batch pf sets.

Dave has his sets here:
technopride - dave the drummer

Dave_the_Drummer@Kitsch_Krakow_13.05.2005 (166 mb)

D.A.V.E_The_Drummer-Live_@_A_Loca_Club_(SaoPaulo-Brasil)_01.04.05 (200 mb)

D.A.V.E_The_Drummer-Live_@_Techcardia_(Campinas-Brasil)_02.04.05 (220 mb)

This other dj I would reco featured on their site called DJ Murphy is in a class of his own.. he tends to play techno on the harder site (but not schranz or anything) but he has a tendency to scratch quite a bit (which he is quite good at!) and also drop some tunes here and there that can basically be described like his bio as 'peppering his sets with a bit of funk'. I find he keeps it interesting anyway.

dj murphy

he's got tons of sets here but I reco these ones anyway:

Dj_Murphy_Live_@_U60311-05-11-2004 [66mb]

Dj Murphy - Destroyer Set Techno 13 - The End - (12-2004) [99mb]

Dj_Murphy_Live_@_Pro-Jekt_(Bruxelles-Belgium)-14-05-2005 [103mb]

If you like Chris Liebing... he has been quoted in interviews as saying he believed this guy is the ONE to watch.

Really? Hmm, I saw it posted on another board. How strange.

I was going to go to Paris for new years, but now my BF and I are thinking of doing an extended trip in europe the summer of 2007, before I go back to school. Sonar is something I have my eye on. It'd be great to start the trip with Sonar, and end with love parade!

It's a fun track, in a Sydney Blu kind of way, but when I hear DJs like Barbara and Christian playing it I think electro house is really on its way down! There used to be so much better electro house out there, even only a year ago.

You have to register, but the livesets forum is great - www.livesets.com/forums

also some Secret Cinema... very solid dutch producer, I have quite a few of his releases. Sets are quality as well!

I'll see you at 99 if you're going. I'm making the drive for this one, will be in Detroit as well, but you just can't beat a show in Toronto!

Thanks for more Ricardo, I could never ever have enough. The first time I saw Richie at one of his Control parties, he had Ricardo open, we didn't even want Richie to come on!

My computer is running really slow right now, but I have a lot of really good stuff to post on here, so I plan on being way more of a giver than a taker soon soon soon!

For Rohr or Sleep Archive?

I'm curious as to how Rohr will play - I played with him at boa in 2004 (I think it was 2004?) and it was hard as fock techno, but lately the stuff I've downloaded is a bit more glitchy, even ambient almost!

Whatever he plays, it will be nice to hear Greg again - I heard him for about 10 minutes when he played at This is London w/Misstress B a couple of weeks ago.

In case you don't know, there is a very similar thread in the Montreal section that I've started... I do a new one every few months or so since a lot of the links end up going down etc, but while there are definitely some sets posted in both threads, you may want to check it out.

I started the one in this room in part because some TOTA's were browsing the Montreal thread for sets so I figured there were probably others here who would enjoy some good techno.
