I dont support the war in iraq or PRE-EMPTIVE WARS ON COUNTRIES BASED ON LIES!!! |

Noone looks at him, listen to what he has to say. He is hardly quoted in any national/international news channel. People dont know what he does whole day, people dont know what plan he got for his country (if he has any at all). His political views - as expressed in interviews with Western media - remain unclear beyond the obvious intention of winning and conserving power for his tribe. You guys have too much fixation for figures and statistics. When the Kurds launched an armed uprising against the Iraqi government in 1961, Talabani led battles at home in Iraq, as well diplomatic missions to Europe and elsewhere in the Middle East to seek support for the Kurds and a seperate country for Kurds. This man has been in EU to sell his idea of a seperate Kurdish country outside of Iraq. And now he is made 'The Pesident of Iraq'. Is he not a puppet yet? Ok you might want 'proof'. And you are telling me he was freely elected by the people of Iraq, not some puppet regime. You want statistics, United Iraqi Alliance had 41% votes and Democratic Patriotic Alliance of Kurdistan from which Iraq's current President belong had 21.7% votes. Why is he still made the President of Iraq? I dont know who voted for a Kurdish president at first place in Iraq? Shias or Sunnis or Japanese people? |

You mean the toddler lost ONE leg. It was your beloved muslims killing those people.
You have to sacrifice to enjoy life better.
Purple, do you expect things to change over night? Sure, people die. Its war, people will die, soldiers will die, society moves forward.

And I said bravo, brand new fresh day for Iraq, a fresh begining and one more fresh new government. I wonder how many more 'new' days will Iraq have. And than they showed me a clip of Bush speaking from White House and he told me: 'Todays its a new day for Iraq, a new begining, a new government, freedom....' And I said bravo, brand new fresh day for Iraq, a fresh begining and one more fresh new government. I wonder how many more 'new' days will Iraq have. |

| Originally posted by Nou I know I proved you wrong well over after you posted this, but LOL! Uh. Vietnam? And war is ugly. You can't expect people to "stand up and fight like real" men if its not going to let them win. Remember the Redcoats said the Rebel army were unmanly for not lining up and marching face to face into battle... so in effect you are calling our fore fathers pansies? |

They were beat hard? yeah ok im going to listen to a high school drop out who lives with his parents about history and the state of this world. " I bet they will say no " shows how much you know about what's going on over there

I can not beleive how any one can even support these issurgents when these insurgents kill other muslims and kill school teachers and children. real big men, kind of like Cyrus and Hardcore, real big men sitting behind thier PC's in a free country like Canada!! ha ha |
sniping is so unsympathetic

| Originally posted by Nou Where am I wrong? I have asked you multiple times in multiple threads to prove me wrong with facts that you can back up with refrences and you havn't. Here is all you need to disprove. Fact: US pulled out of Vietnam in 1973 with no concrete victory or supression of NVA or Viet Cong agressions. Fact: Two years later South Vietnam had been invaded and reunified with the north. Just prove those two things wrong and I will shut up! I didn't drop out because I didn't know the material so you shouldn't judge my intelligence off that. In fact every year in high school I tested at the top of my classes in history so please do fuck off if you think you know my education. |
You have to also understand that the technology between the current Iraq and the American fighters is very different.
Also you have to realise that the insurgents are like gangs of some sorts, so gangs VS a countries military.
If, and im just saying "IF" these insurgents were part of a larger military group and had all the sophisticated weaponary that America used on them, then it could have been a different story.
Here we have a side that is very cautious to take every step slowly, analyse the situation and attack when they see it right, against a side who see's death as another doorway to another life so they will do anything to cause damage.
I don't think there is any tough sides anywhere to be honest. If all sides were fairly trained and fairly equiped, then you will be able to say which side is stronger.
If this new government of Iraq is successful, then we may see a different side to Iraqi military because it will be funded differently and trained differently; one can hope for the better.
Yeah because it ain't obvious that i wrote that in a hurry. That has little to do with that seeing as how we adapt to the enviroment, you do realize that the soldiers are trained to fight in any terrain and in any weather or conditios? ESPECIALLY post-KOREAN war not even always vietnam.
| quote: |
| Originally posted by Nou If we knew how to adapt we wouldn't be were we are in Iraq now. It's obvious we learned nothing from Vietnam in terms of tactics and training! As soon as Vietnam was over we went back to the whole Cold War, defend the Fulda Gap, protect west Germany scenario and didn't give a second thought about another war were we would have to fight an insurgency. |

| Originally posted by Lepanto wow do you know any soldiers? lol do you even remmember when smokeape was here and how he talked about training current units in urban warfare? the special forces and marine force recon train in EVERY single terrain there is |
