Posted by krysx25 on Mar-22-2006 03:56:

What was Naz's whole idea about us taking out the front row
or something? .. he's got like a few things to give to Tijs ??

Can someone explain how this works? Why don't they open tickets to both shows at one time? Is Sunday night sort of a back-up depending on how well tickets sell? Is there any chance there won't be a Sunday show or is that not even a consideration.

Also, does anyone know when tickets go on sale for Sunday, May 7 and is it the kind of deal where you have to be waiting to pounce on them right away or you don't get them at all?

The only other electronic event I've been to was Tiesto two or three years ago, and it was great.

Posted by AquaYak on Mar-22-2006 07:36:

so i guess tickets are on sale now

id like to have ticekts to both shows just to see him twice in a row... i guess it'd be the same set, but o well.

Posted by AquaYak on Mar-22-2006 07:50:

yay, 4 tix!

Posted by sw1 on Mar-22-2006 08:37:

Exclamation $67 Tickets!!!

Bastards! Why don't they just say tickets $66.75 instead of tickets $50 + service charges?

Confused Ticketmaster fees

I don't know why you guys would be willing to pay Ticketmaster's fees. I went through House of Blues (HOB.com) and only paid $59.50, just 1 flat service fee, none of this nickel-n-dime fees TM likes to add on at the end of your order.

Posted by forever2day on Mar-23-2006 02:18:

ya mine came to like 63$ n something,,,,whats up with 2 shows?thats so stupid i hope its mistake cuz it really doesnt make sense.

Posted by krysx25 on Mar-23-2006 02:29:

I think I heard someone poop something out like ..
No more dance events @ Commodore?? .. hmmm ...

was it Elena?? .. hmmmmmmm ..... reliable sources girl, yep.

Posted by apri_peel on Mar-23-2006 03:49:

yes, there was an incident involving an electronic event at commodore
it appears as tho the venue was given back to the us in january with ph1's dnb show there

what's with ticket prices ridiculously high just to see 1 DJ
I know it's Tiesto but still I've been noticing tickets easily start @ $50 and services charges, totaling 60 or ever more bucks for fucks sake I could go to a rave and see 10 DJs the whole night come on and to go see Armin starting @ $50 I remember I paid 20 bucks to see him those were the times...

Thank you Arpy and Union folk the only people who keep their prices affordable

That's what sucks about living in a free market (relatively, compared to planned) economy. Supply and Demand. I bet they could set the prices a bit higher and still sell out. Nothing bad on the part of the promoters, just a fact of life that our objective in a free market economy is to make profit.

Posted by dc ajaxs on Mar-23-2006 16:13:

looks like there are two shows in vancouver, maybe the price won't be as bad. will still be one heck of a party

Hours at The Commodore

Is The Commodore open past midnight on Sunday? A buddy of mine told me they close at midnight on Sundays, but I hope he's wrong.

I notice the Sunday show starts at 9pm and the Monday show at 10pm.

Posted by forever2day on Mar-24-2006 03:59:

Ya i heard that too, maybe thats why he's starting at 9pm..maybe he's havin a 3 hour set . ticket master can refund ur money so if ppl wanna go to the sunday show instead of monday you can get a refund and purchase ur may7th ticket.

Posted by krysx25 on Mar-24-2006 04:20:

both nights will sell out.

and oh my! .. look at all these TiT's!

Posted by eye_03 on Mar-24-2006 04:54:

so which night will be open later, sunday or monday??
thats rough if i pay $50+ for a 3 hour set starting at 9pm..

or maybe, its just what i need.. ill be able to go to bed fairly early.. hmm..

Posted by mylespower on Mar-24-2006 04:56:

sunday will be the one to goto IMO...

its the first night... i mean come on now!

Posted by vancbc on Mar-24-2006 05:06:

Someone will correct me quickly if I'm wrong, but I was at his set at The Commodore in 2004, and I believe he only played a two hour set. Isn't that correct? He spun from midnight until 2am I believe.

I don't remember the guy who opened for him, but all I remember is that at one point during the first guy's set the music starting cutting out and then it stopped completely for a little bit.
