Dude... it's totally fucked up to request tracks to be played. The DJ is taking you on his idea of a journey, so you either ride along or cry in the corner.

However, if you're die-hard about it, you can try to slip the vinyl of the track you want played to him/her.

It depends on who's spinning. If it's a big name dj like PVD or ATB. I say don't even bother because you problably won't even be able to talk to them since the're well known. "Security if you known what I mean." If it's someone who is less well known . You try to talk to them before they spin. When I knew Hennes and Cold were coming to NYC to spin at websterhall I brought a vinyl sleeve of one of their records. In my case I brought it for them to sign it, not really to serve as a request, but it can serve a hint to the artist. I talked to them before they even spun. Let them know that there music is the shit and mention releases and remixes they've done. Basically, stuff your average fan wouldn't even know when it comes to their music. If they see your a hardcore fan, they'll surpass any request you can even think of really because real dj don't like disapointing there fans" Hennes and Cold basically did that in my case. They brought down the house. Still the sickest live set I've ever heard. Hennes and Cold for life.

ok... i didnt mean i know him personally... or have even said a word to the guy... but he is know to be a DICK, and sometimes to play already recorded sets at live events... it was more of a ritorical statement. I thought more people knew that about him. or maybe im wrong. but when my friend asked, oaky gave him a dirty look and turned away. never played that track.

hahaha... funny!?!?!?!?! guess not

whatever.... lol
