WELL IF YOU 'FAIL' TO SEE HOW PEOPLE CAN ENJOY IT, THEN OBVIOUSLY YOU DONT HAVE AN OPEN MIND TO ACCEPT THAT EVERYONE DOESNT LIKE THE SAME MUSIC THAT YOU DO!

GET OVER IT!

LOL@SEZZY WERENT YOU A PHAT PANT & WRIST CANDY RAVER BEFORE YOU JUMPED ON THE BANDWAGON AND STARTED LIKING TEK?

there is nothing wrong with fast powerful energetic dance music. maybe i am not thinking of hard trance but rather hardstyle, hard dance, hardcore, hard nrg or some other "hard" thing. the music djs were playing in the phd and pharmacy rooms at digital was not energetic or powerful, but it was fast. it was also bland and relied on a pounding beat which was almost enough to hurt. the music brings clubbing and the dance scene into disrepute. sometimes you have to wonder if people need to be on abusing substances to enjoy it. when you look around at 1pm and see people completely fucked up then you are probably right!

LOUD NOISES!!!!!!!

HAHAHAHAHAA.
SERIOUSLY BANG BANG BANG

HAHAHAHA
IT BRINGS CLUBBING & DANCE SCENE IN DISREPUTE?
TO A CERTAIN EXTENT, I BELIEVE SOME OF THE CROWD MAKE IT LOOK DISREPUTABLE! I MYSELF ABSOLUTLEY HATE WITH A PASSION MUNTED GWHORES ABUSING THEMSELVES, FALLING OVER, ETC & PEOPLE LOOKING LIKE A CHRISTMAS TREE & ELMO BAGS & TALCUM POWDER AND BUSTED ASSHOLE FACES WITH MISSING PARTS OF THEIR FACES/BODIES.

SOME OF THE MUSIC CAN BE SHIT YES. I AGREE. HOWEVER SOME OF IT IS GOOD IMO! THE HARDER STLE OF MUSIC THAT I LIKE ISNT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED NOR WHINGING PUSSIES! HOWEVER ITS THE ONLY STYLE THAT GETS ME THE MOST EXCITED. LOL. BUT REALLY THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN OFTEN AS THE HARD SCENE IN MELB ISNT BIG AT ALL AND MOST DJS PLAY SHIT HARD MUSIC.

I HATE WHEN PEOPLE JUST GO OUT, NOT FOR THE MUSIC BUT TO GET FUKT UP! I HATE IT!

BUT YOU DONT JUST GET THIS WITH THE 'HARD SCENE' YOU GET IT IN ALL SCENES.
THERE ARE FUKT UP PEOPLE WHO ABUSE THEMSELVES WITH DRUGS IN ALL MUSIC SCENES!

HAHAHA GERRY, YES I BELIEVE YOU.
I BELIEVE MANY HERE WOULDVE LIKE THE HARDER MUSIC AT SOME STAGE.
I MEAN I WAS SHOCKED WHEN I LOOKED BACK AT SOME OF THE 1ST FEW PAGES WITHIN THIS FORUM AND SAW THAT MANY TOPICS WERE AFFILIATED WITH HARD MUSIC/EVENTS & CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG, I THINK PHILBY WAS ONE TO ATTEND THESE EVENTS.

LOL

i think what is funny here is why someone who claims to like luminaries such as steve lawler, danny tenaglia, and jeff mills is also liking hellraiser.

as opposed to techno which is.............................?

Hard Trance in the style of Alphazone, Tracid (whom I happen to love), and Dumonde (likewise) is awesome. Its hard and energetic, yet it still has the strong melody lines. Its not bonkers hard, but its harder, which is good.

LOL THATS JUST FUCKING RIGHT.

I HAVE A DIVERSE TASTE IN MUSIC.
I AM PICKY AND FUSSY WITH IT.
IT RANGES FROM EVERYTHING FROM ELVIS TO MADONNA TO ABBA TO MOTLEY CRUE TO MANOWAR TO IRON MAIDEN TO MARIACHI MEXICAN MUSIC TO DEEP DARK DIRTY TRIBAL HOUSE, ETC.

I AM A RARE BREED, ONE OF A KIND.

HOWEVER WITH ALL THE MUSIC THAT I LOVE, I HAVE A DISTINCTIVE PASSION FOR IT.

WHATEVER MUSIC I MAY HAVE LIKED YEARS BEFORE, I WILL NOT EVER DISMISS IT AND BAG IT, AS LIKE I SAID I HAVE A PASSION FOR MUSIC!

I GUESS THATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ME AND OTHERS WHO JUMP THE BANDWAGON & END UP BAGGING THE MUSIC THEY ONCE ROCKED TO!

XOX

lol mandi you missing the whole point . most of us has moved on from the hard shit, that was what i meant by growing up. someone like sez ended up liking tek, and i might like 80s disco house, for example . the point being that as we grow older our tastes change as well

lol, not at all. i like it hard too. GOOD hard but.

Posted by MiSSyM on Apr-19-2006 12:21:

I GET THE WHOLE POINT

I THINK YOU ARE MISSING MY POINT.

ofcourse people change & their musical tastes change.
Ive come to appreciate a lot of new sounds too.
HOWEVER, i just think people who bag musical genres where once they used to listen to it is well, 'wrong'.

That just proves that it was a 'phase' and that the person never had a real passion for that style of music.

Yes i know you like it hard, first time i met you was at a Pharmacy party LOL.

lol, however wrong it is, i think that is the point of my whole existance on TA. i pride myself on bagging shit genres because i can, and because i always have a good reason why plus nobody can stop me from doing it, and its as simple as that. same thing why you did the things you did on CV.

Its only wrong if they are bagging it out to be cool / fit in / be a sheep.

I've listened to Trance since pretty much when it all started... and what I appreciated the most about it at the time was - there was nothing else that sounded quite like it... Today there are a plethora of genres that derive from Trance, and its not exactly a fresh sound anymore particularly when producers seem to always follow the same format and style and use the exact same sounds in every single track. As a result many, including myself have become disintereted in the genre - it lacks creativity and originality ( hence the reason i got into producing )

Irrespective of the fact that i think youre a bit annoying, I tend to agree with you on your point regarding - having a variety of musical tastes. Listening to Hard 'hold onto my pocket p00ftah' trance / dance is your perogative

Posted by MiSSyM on Apr-19-2006 12:43:

It was the Yoji one. haha.

I just find it funny thats all.
i mean if its such a shit genre why even bother wasting your time listening to it & going to clubs where they played that music.
haha.

you can bag all you like. i cant stop that nor am trying to. people are always going to be speaking shit, and thinking only their genre is better than others. haha.

what do you mean? did the things i did on cv?
can you be a bit more specific?
i dont even know what you are talking about, but still this comment

makes me laugh. lol keeping tabs on me aye.

hahahahahhaa
