you want me to explain the behaviour of every single human being in this city?

Posted by Skipper on Apr-05-2006 20:43:

Language aside, I have found the men in Mtl clubs are more aggressive than in TO. Not to say there aren't assholes here, but everytime I am in Mtl, the night always ends with at least one guy being creepy as fuck.

Yes.

To Light78: Nice shit starting in TOland.

To everyone from TO posting in our boards: Get out. (Except Swamper plz dont ban me plz plz )

In regards to Montreal being greater than TO: My answer remains a 100% unfounded yes, simply because Toronto is the New York of Canada, without the fun. I've been there countless times and Toronto is simply not a city that you can amuse yourself with without a strict itinerary. (That probably includes all 3 of the things to do in Toronto: Shop, take an elevator up to not quite the top of the penis tower, and go see a sports team that really really sucks, IE: Jays/leafs/raptors.)

Un pepsi + un maywest pour moi, merci merci...

Disclaimer: If you take my post seriously, you deserve to lose your credibility. All complaints can be filed at the following website: http://wired.st-and.ac.uk/~chris/hu.../disgusting.jpg

Hahaha...yes please

No...I was just saying that b/c Sarah mentioned she didn't think it was a language thing (and I don't believe she mentioned if she knew how to speak French, unless I missed it), but since she thought it WASN'T a language thing and you said you think it was...I figured you assumed Montreal people were just assuming people from other parts of the country don't speak French and are thus jerks to us. It that's not what you meant at all, then I'm sorry...my bad!

Wow...can you say asshole?

Just b/c it's the Montreal boards does NOT mean that people who live in Montreal are the only ones that are allowed to post here.

1.That list compiled by the Dj List was made by DJ's who

a.are not the ones partying
b.walk into a club and get special treatment(maybe guv has more perks for the international dj than stereo )
a real list would have sent people to all clubs and then vote.
2.The Guv is disneyland without space mountain. Its a small world cultural center is in fact there as malek refered. Please see cracked out retired asians sitting on the floor humming its a small world after all to the beat of Traffic. The Guv also has the biggest group of omg he looked at me dj whores as i clientele. If i had crazy women who worshipped me for playing a record i would vote for them too.(Stereo's dj booth is so high interaction with the dj is almost impossible.Notice the people partying with each other and not in a little fantasy world where in their heads they are best friends with international dj's)

3.Sonic will be a good club.I have no doubt as the people who are working behind it have used the formula and created a masterpiece in Stereo. The Vibe thing is nothing but a geography issue.Montreal is just a more open city.Toronto is dry.All of the expatriates that i know living there love making more money but hate the fact that everything is so dry.God Save The Queen

4.Skipper...Skipper...Skipper.
In some threads you rave about Stereo, in some threads you are negative.Your moods swing more than Barry Bonds(even on Steroids)Make up your mind.If it was such a shitty venue why did you travel here to see acts that you could have seen in the 416?Pick a bandwagon and stick with it.Dont worry we forgive you.
No one takes someone who Dj's as Sarah Mixington seriously to begin with.Come see me play out next week my name is Dj Mikey Mk2's

now get out of our forums Plur totas before i form an unholy alliance with my bitter enemy Krinker. We shall skullfuck the PLUR right out of you.

LEAFS SUCK

I've actually never gotten a really awesome vibe from the crowd - outside of the people I am there with - at aria or stereo or even piknic.

I don't know if it's a language thing, but remarkably I have met more random people and gotten a good vibe from them at guv than I have in Mtl. at one time, I felt comfortable going to a guv party alone and trusting I would meet cool people. which I did - I met someone I dated for over 2 years.

I lived in Montreal my entire life until I moved to T.O just over a year ago. I met more people in Toronto in the first few months i lived here, and right now have more friends than I EVER did in Montreal. I never felt a good vibe going out in Montreal. Felt like everybody was a snob. I loved STEREO as a club, but would spend most nights there either with the couple of friends i went with or even alone, not speaking to a soul the whole night. Never really found the staff so great either. If you were not part of their click, you were nothing. anwyays...

Glad to be in Toronto. The people are cool and YES, they know how to party. I think Montrealers should realize Toronto isn't what it was 10 - 15 years ago.

Posted by Alex on Apr-07-2006 03:01:

Guys, grow up, please.

Kudos to all of you who've met your spouses in afterhours, I'm sure it'll be fun explaining to your children that mommy and daddy met on a speed binge. I mean COME ONNNNNNNNNNNNN, talking to randoms is ok I guess but most of the people going to these places aren't going to become your best mates, "Like oh wow I met this really cool guy at the Aria/Stereo last night, I cant believe he was there by himself, he was sooooo kewl!!!". There's a reason he was there all alone, he's a fuckin weirdo fucked on 5+ pills that wants to steal your functioning organs.

Try a few less pills, and you'll see that showing up with a group of friends and partying with them is just as fun as talking to "That really cool guy grinding his teeth and pelvis thrusting the speaker". I'm talking from experience here, really, I stopped taking pills in January and my clubbing life has become so much more enjoyable, really it has.

Alright...enough with this which city is better to club in. Let's just say we all have different experiences and preferences...we do what we like. End of story.
