i would rather have my favorite sport be one where you never know which team is going to get hot come playoff time and go all the way. otherwise it would be the same predictable boring shit as baseball, where the yankees are in the world series all the time.

actually a better example would be the NBA, the same teams are in the later rounds of the playoffs every year, most predictable sport in the world.
And baseball is actually quite random with teams like the White Sox,Angels,Marlins,Diamondbacks, all wiining the world series in the pastyears, while the yankees have only gone to it twice in 5 years, and havnt won a world series in this millennium

Ducks take 3-0 lead on Av's

Bryzgalov had the second longest scoreless streak in NHL playoff history, at 249 minutes, 15 seconds.
The record was set in 1930, at 270:08
The next 2 best were set in the 1930's, which he passed in Game 3.

This is crazy...

Avs get beat up again, Senators down 2-0 to Buffalo as well as both Jersey and Edmonton.

Things are not lookin good for me.

I think my predictions so far have been a little cocky.

Devils lose again to Carolina 3-2 and Buffalo tied with the Sens 2-2.

Time now to make a new prediction.

If Buffalo wins in OT... Devils season is over by Saturday and so will the Oilers.

If Ottawa wins, Edmonton wins game 3 and possibly the Series(which i think won't happen).

As for the Anaheim Series with Colorado... BRING OUT THE BROOMS!

Posted by partyhopper on May-11-2006 08:05:

both Sabres and Canes have a chance to sweep

Oilers take Game 3 against Sharks - in triple overtime!

Posted by pvd420 on May-11-2006 14:10:

devils are done...no doubt about that.

if you had asked me if i was willing to trade possibly getting swept by carolina for finally beating the rangers in the playoffs and embarrasing them as well, i would have said yes in a heartbeat.

i am rooting for buffalo and anaheim...

Quack quack
Ducks sweep the Av's

Posted by Eddie N MIAMI on May-14-2006 12:20:

Scott Gomez had a monster game yesterday, avoids elimination as the devils win

Posted by partyhopper on May-14-2006 18:39:

Sabres eliminate the Senators in the 3rd OT game of the series

Posted by halexander837 on May-15-2006 01:51:

Devils are done...

Lose 4-1 and now Carolina will face the Sabres.

*Sigh*

Oh we're coming Anaheim!!! One more game to take care of first before we take out Disneyland!!!

Posted by halexander837 on May-18-2006 02:57:

There ya have it. On to the Conference Finals

To all the TAs in Edmonton, I apoligize for goin against the Oilers after I said that "somewhat" depressing remark after the Sabres beat Ottawa. Now all my predictions will be short and simple.

Carolina over Buffalo

Edmonton over Anaheim

Posted by partyhopper on May-18-2006 02:59:

would be interesting if the Oilers, as the #8 seed, can go all the way

Posted by sponger on May-19-2006 00:30:

NO way! Anaheim is goin all the way!!!! we'll handle edmonton the way we handled colorado! hopefully.

Posted by halexander837 on May-20-2006 16:58:

another win for Edmonton

3-1 over Anaheim.

Posted by partyhopper on May-22-2006 03:32:

Oilers off to a strong start in the Western finals
Ducks down 0-2, going to a place where they've lost the last 12 times

Posted by partyhopper on May-24-2006 03:21:

Oilers go up 3-0, with their 7th win in a row

Come on the Oilers, I've been waiting years for a playoff run like this, it just feels like destiny this year

Posted by BuffaloJared on May-24-2006 12:07:

let go BUFFALO ......

Posted by halexander837 on May-24-2006 17:53:

That was a wild game 3 at Rexall.

Fortunately though, we got the win.

One more is all we need.

The cup is coming home finally... 16 years it has been gone and now it is coming home
