-- Does NYTA need a 2nd mod?

thanx alisa

we really wanna get people out of the notion of modding = lock & delete modding for NYTA = nothing more than a 'facilitator' in the background to bring about more organization of people/events in this lil microcosm of society. we love our freedom and i certainly wouldn't want any mods creating any type of restrictions, so why would i be one that did that? no way hozay!

it seems as if everyone agrees we're mature enough, so then why aren't we mature enough to have 1 mod taking care of these things instead of creating more of a burden on another mod that already has more than enough to do on this site? what would be the problem? none i can think of. furthermore, the gaming forum is nothing like NYTA. we are a community based on a location, the gaming forum is not. gaming is universal, nyta's music scene is very specific therefore necessitating someone who knows the nooks and crannies of our scene and how it works AND especially a general knowledge of our members. in addition, an NYTA that surfs nyta religiously (i personally am on NYTA 99% of my time on TA, being perfectly honest), can see immediate needs and not have to ask questions as to why/what/where/how/when such a thing is going on, as Neo might ask when approached about a certain thread that needs to be stickied or helping organize an event through polls/stickies to see what NYTA would like to do (which requires extensive help, not just 1 PM..)

i waited for that one =)

ambitious one you is! Peter could work, then again you do have idc so =P lol

Why are some people so desperate for a mod? Do you honestly think that having a mod that is around more is going to change this section? The only worry we have in here is when those Nazi pricks spam the forums with their crap. Otherwise, we do a pretty damn good job of governing ourselves.

why not? why don't we change our section? i'm totally for changing our section. Our section is weak lol our stickied threads are labeled poorly, we cover a wide area which don't get equal visibility (west coast forums for example clearly cuts out northcal/socal/washington) this is nyta, we have top designers, artist, and we do little or nothing to represent ourselves, display our talents, and network our efforts.

I am totally for having a MOD that will make some changes! WHY NOT?

lets try out one and see what happens....if good things happen keep the person if not we go back. Lets give a 2nd mod a try, want to see what changes can occur

Google doesn't have all the answers.

Try this:

i think 2 days is too quick of an adjustment for these boards, people will get all discombobulated with rapid change that it might spark a rebellion. i'm still advocating change nonetheless, just at a slower, more organized transition.

last thing we need is kids saying OMGWTFBBQ so much new stuff I can't handle it!

dont set the time as 2 days, make it more. A month sounds like a good time. We are talking about a 2nd Mod right? or a whole new one?

Posted by Vlad on May-17-2006 23:55:

You bring up a good point Bry...

It'd be nice to have someone around just to keep this place nice and neat, and up to date.

On another note... nobody wants me to be mod?

I feel unloved.
